well i have a soundstream3500d and i'm looking for new subs. which subs would work best with my amp? 4 12"ssd fully loaded or 2 bl 18's fully loaded or 2 q 18's fully loaded? my main goal is for daily setup but i go to a car audio show.

the BLs would be awesome with that amp and so would the four 12"s... hard decision. flip a coin...

im running two 18" BLs off a memphis mojo 2000d and they are like wow, sooo...

if you could afford and fit 3 Q 15"s that would be a bad setup also...

sd on 4 12s --> 480cm^2 x 4 = 1920

sd on 2 18s --> 1210cm^2 x2 = 2420

You'd need 5 12s to have similar effective area as 2 18s, although the 18s will need about twice the air space as 5 12s.

I just like my 18s soo much.... I say 2 18s.

Everyone loves big speakers, they'd be awesome for a show.
