just wanted to know wut kind of soldering gun you guys use to solder the tinsel leads on to the subs, im goin to recone my sub soon and i dont have a good soldering gun.

and wut percent silver solder do yall use.

A Weller 75-100W gun would heat up quickly and do a good job with tinsels.

As for solder, stay away from anything acid-based...

You can buy them from Parts Express or other online type places, I'm not sure Home Despot or No's sells them locally.

rosin core solder..make sure it is for electrical use

I'd try home depot or sears. I bought a weller 100/200 a few months ago at h/d. Think you can pick up 140 at sears. Good luck- and imo it's ALWAYS worth paying a little more for good tools. Every time I havent I've come to regret it.
