Posted May 15, 200718 yr I've got an offer for a brand new MD.23 for $250 shipped....I'm guessing it doesn't have a warranty..? How do you US Amps hold up? Do they tend to break down a lot or are they pretty stable? I would buy with warranty but its almost $450 more than this guy is offering for from my understanding...the price of an extra 2 non-warranty MD.23's. Does anyone know where to get these for significantly cheaper than $700 and still have a warranty?Regardless of the warranty, how do you like the Merlin line itself? Is it a big step down from the AX line? What other company's amps does the Merlin line compare to?Have any of you guys used the MD.23, or are you familiar with it at all? I've heard they bench more than they're rated for...how much more could you expect at 4ohms bridged on the MD.23 than the 1kw is rated for? Can the MD.23 be run at 2 ohms bridged by any chance? Or is it likely to blow by doing this..? I've heard some can run at 2 ohms bridged.. Also, what would it put out bridged at 2 ohms?So overall, what do you guys think of the MD.23, and what should I be paying for it? I'm gonna be using it for sub duty. Thanks for the help.
May 16, 200718 yr Admin Flakko might be the best resource. I have not used it, but I know someone on here mentioned it not too long ago.
May 16, 200718 yr the md23 is a good 2 channel amp. its solid, can take 2 ohms bridged but i dont reccomend it. compared to the AX line, erm its a step down of course but its good for the money, but expect its rated power. if it does more, cool.

June 7, 200718 yr MD23 would have better sound quality but the AX1000DE would use less power to make more power.
