ok so i'm purchasing 2 18" BTLs and really considering getting 2 of these amps..

heres my question

do i get 2 Dual 2ohm BTLs and run 1 on each amp at 1ohm @ 1500 watts rms each

OR

do i get 2 Dual 1ohm BTLs wire them parallel on the 2 1500s strapped @ 1ohm to get the 3700 watts?

how efficiant is it to strap these amps? and are there any other worth while scenarios that i should consider?

I will be getting a 300amp alt and as of now i only have 1 yellow top, will i need more batteries with that big of an alternator?

if this is going to be for daily driving i would strap them @ 2 ohm's and get an extra battery for them. you will be happy

Personally, I would not recommend either.

The BTL will want MINIMUM 2k watts per sub. You are more in the range of 2 BL's. However, if you want 2 BTL's I would reccommend 4 SAZ-1500D's or wait and get 2 SAZ-3000D's.

I have a BTL15 Loaded on a 1500d at 2ohms. So it is seeing MAX, less than 1000w...and it bangs.

Box is 4cubes tuned to 32hz, and I can bottom it out, at will, between 30-50hz.

I was going to put my other 1500d on it, but I'm starting to think that I may just get another BTL and run them each at .5ohm

It may TAKE many thousand watts..but it will wang with less than 1kw.

and by "wang" I mean 147ish dB's

got metered today.

with what meter? Located where? Tone or music?

I just think you should save some $ and buy a bL which will reach full extension under that power for sure!

Termlab. Arkansas. Tones 46-50hz.

in the fi section...theres a thread to post your score. I explain everything there.

i think he meant where was the MIC located in the car ;)

147.4 outlaw...legal placement 10" up from dash 10" in from passenger A-pillar.

146.6 legal...

...in Arkansas...HA :)

I tried at the kicks too...but most I could muster was 144.x....my Passat Wagon has a long windshield and long dash...makes for high legal scores, imho
