When I said I need to hold it to stop the skipping I was talking about the Ipod, not the HU itself. That JVC HU is lucky to have the face stay closed when its playing! lol

The HU is some cheap ass JVC, it was like $150. Its all I could afford at the time. The EQ is a clarion EQ. It has 8v pre-outs and a 7band EQ. I wanna upgrade sometime, so when I get the rest of my mids/highs in I can tweak them the way I want.

No crossover, just played with the settings on the amps. The amp I got on my mids/highs is a Hifonics ZXi4406. Its ghetto and a POS but its all I got and finishing off this setup emptied my bank account.

It works quite nicely. It gives you a little tweak ability, but I mainly just bought it to boost the voltage of the HU.

Man that's exactly what i'm looking to do I was thinking of getting the audiocontrol matrix but i am still undecided with my Xover/EQ unit as of yet...

in fact talking with the guys have made me look at a new HU with better tweaking abilities...

galactic monkey, this is old, hes had this for a while, and within a week he blew 2 subs.

and im almost positive he didnt even build the box himself, i believe he paid someone to do it.

so ur sayin that 3000watts to a btl is a bad thing? :morning:
