June 10, 200718 yr i know theres some JVCs that have a USB input in the front. other than that, i dont know. i wouldnt get either to tell you the truth. id get alpine, pioneer, something, and just run the wire from the back, under the dash to where ever your aux device is in the car.
June 10, 200718 yr doesn't clarion make a H/U with a USB port on the front? Yeah jvc does as well, otherwise I have no clue man.
June 10, 200718 yr sony, clarion, panasonic as well as just about every company has a h/u that will have the 3.5mm aux jack in the front. usually, their lower lines, to midlevel. sony is the exemption. they have them all teh wya throught th elineup jsut about.clarions's 575usb has teh usb slot in front, the 675, 775 has a cord in the back that can be ran jsut about anywhere for the usb. their 275,375 and 475 all have the 3.5. the 375, 475 and 575 also have 3.7 volt outputs, hpf and lpf. the 675 and 775 have 5.7 volt preouts and filters. amongst other things.sony has several with both the 3.5 and usb in front. the 410, 610 (which also comes with an IPod cord attached that allows the unit to control teh ipod and recharge it), the 710 and 810. nothing wrong with sony quality, however they lack HPFs this year.the panasonics have the 3.5 up front until the 5705, IIRC. it'll give you sub control and lpf.we carry those three at the shop. clarion gives you more features for the money. the sony's offer more flexibilty throughout it's lineup and like panasonic, is easier to use.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
June 10, 200718 yr Author sony is the exemption. they have them all teh wya throught th elineup jsut about. But they're Xplodes...
June 10, 200718 yr yep, they are xplodes. but their quality isn't bad. i wouldn't hesitate to run sony again. not in a competiton vehicle, they still liek to skip a bit, but in a daily driver, nothing wrong with sony.wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
June 10, 200718 yr Is there a reason why you want the adapter in the front? I've always thought this detracted from the appearance, and you could easily have a cord haning in your glove box or some other place you wont have to look at it. Just my thoughts.I'd just focus on getting a good quality unit that you can hook up to with a cable.
June 10, 200718 yr You know, I've been a die hard sony fan since the early 90s. I have never had a problem with anything from them. Now granted, I don't buy any low end gear, but I've had the Mobile Es, Xplod ES, high priced Xplod stuff, and just recently the Specialty Series stuff and it's all been top notch. I don't know how they've gotten such a bad rep. Personally, I think it's the typical BS, but yeah. Now, a lot of people like Pioneer and I've had nothing but trouble with Pioneer aside from the original IMPP subwoofers and a few of their recent models. I won't use Pioneer for anything, but I still don't think they're junk.

July 7, 200718 yr i prefer the rear aux input, i ran the cord into my change holder so you never even see it until you want to use it
