Posted June 11, 200718 yr I am needing box plans for a FI.Q 12. I know I could probably go out and buy one, but I would rather build it myself.I am planning on making 1.3 cubes like recomended as optimal. I don't want just a square box though. I would like it to be 4 sided with a little slope in the front. I'm sure you know what I am talking about, I hope. Anyway if you could tell me the size height, depth1(bottom), depth2(top), width, and angle that the slopes on the front usually are, I would appreciate it very much.
June 11, 200718 yr We can design one based on what will fit in your vehicle dimension wise... but just about any random size or shape with that volume will work fine for sealed. There is no standard slope for prefabs or other enclosures... anything that fits works fine. Thanks,Scott

June 11, 200718 yr The most important thing is that you can do the math to get the right space after displacement, not the actual shape of the box. I'd make it a little longer than the woofer mounting depth (or roughly 8 inches minimum). As long as you know how to get the area of a trapazoid you're good Good luck Edited June 11, 200718 yr by tejcurrent
June 11, 200718 yr Author Yeah I remember how from math. Just divide into a square and a triangle and get the volume of each.
June 12, 200718 yr Author How does this look guys? Would you have any suggestions for me?It is 1.23cf.
