Posted June 14, 200718 yr If I went with 2-BL15s in my trunk I could only fit them each in a 3.2ft3 after port/sub with 50sq" of port tuned to 32Hz. With either a SAZ-3000D or Autotek MM4000.1D pushing them. Do u guys think I would still have the lows even though its a small box? Daily GP
June 14, 200718 yr Hoffman's Iron Law.You want deep extension, you need a large enclosure, or run into a lot of compromises...
June 14, 200718 yr Put it to ya this way..My 15 in a 4.0cuft @ 30 Hz owns the lows..I am breaking Trunk lids with my setup..First the OEM METAL Honda one now the Carbon Fiber Seibon I got..I am reinforcing it by filling the Cavatiy with Fiberglass Resin...It will be Heavy but I won't have to worry about it cracking anymore..Cause it will be solid...
June 14, 200718 yr Author well since u say that enclosure would be too small for the 15s, thats the biggest I can possibly go. I could however do 3-12s in a bigger enclosure ;(each) in a 2.45ft3 after port and sub displacement with 40sq" of port tuned to 32Hz. I could probably do 3-BTLs (dual 2ohm) series them all together at a 1.3ohm load with rise and strap 2-SAZ3000Ds together.
June 15, 200718 yr if you have the power, I would say 2 12 BTL wfully loaded and see it gets low. why didnt consider the Q?
June 16, 200718 yr Hell yea they fawkin wang on teh lowz. A single BL 12 with 2000 watts at 20 hz will make your guts churn.
