I decided to sell my old 12's and go with a single 12 inch install. Im looking at the 12" SSD dual 2 ohm. IM looking to build a single ported box to replace my dual 12 ported box in my civic. I have a memphis mono 1000D for an amp. I decided to not go with a man stream name like i have in the past and try something new and have heard nothing but good things about FI. So any help on this subject would be aprreciated. I mainly listen to rap and metal. Also i was wondering if my 1000D memphis would be a good match for this sub and also i was curious about about how much does a 12 inch SSD weigh? total or magnet weight? Thanks

I dont know the weight of the sub off hand, but with approx 1000 watts going to it I would look to the Flat wound coil to boost power handling a little. It is a solid sub that can take a beating.

SSD with flatwind would take the power. Or if you want to spend a little more, then the Q might be the all around better choice given the power of the amp (strong little amp)
