I really like diehard plats. That's what I have for my main battery. Awesome warranty and sears is right down the road. They have a friends and family night every month with special discounts on everything. November was yesterday haha.

As of now we want 2 tshirts and 2 tags. Did you find out if you could get XLT?

Michael does. He is on IAK Fb

Got the text thanks. I'll see what Michael wants and let you know.

Pics of trunk setup?
-
Nice!! So did making the trim panels really make that much of a change on the lows?
-
I would rather 2 10"s sealed off from the trunk. I would also rather the 3500. I like to have some headroom. Of course any amp you can make them stink up the coils in a hurry.
-
Thanks Chop! Can you post a pic of the logo? Not sure of which one you are talking about.

Got the new amp in. Still needs some tweaking but happy so far. Took a quick vid. It was a late when I finished and a little dark. I will update when I have some time.

I like the videos. But you for real need an external mic. It always sounds like you are talking in the bathroom lol.- 60 replies

SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks

I know what you need to get. The ASAP sub lol. It's all in good fun. You share some pics of the new equipment then people won't be satisfied until you post progress pics, then a vid, then some metering, then... It's cool though. I enjoy your builds. Just wish I could have heard it at finals before you took it all apart. -
Welcome Austin!!

Oh! If the subs in question could be protos and they are the ones we talked about at finals, I'm super excited! Well I'm excited either way lol. Edit: Your new distribution blocks are pretty slick too. I think I may need to do something along those lines soon. -
Congrats lee! That's badass period. Much less that score with the power you are running. I really want a demo again. That loud that low is just my style.

I didn't know Crunch made subwoofers, I thought they only made amps. I actually had a crunch 12" back in 91 or so. Can't wait to see what you picked up! -
Planning/parts gathering for my Ram Mega Cab build.

Not to take anything away from your list, those are all nice subs. But I'd rather have higher end single sub for equal or less money than 2 smaller lower level subs. Also, be careful when listening to other people's equipment. You can take a badass sub and a poor designed enclosure and it will sound like garbage. I would hate for you to disregard a brand/size based on this. -
Interested in seeing the monitors in action. Last time I was at your house you had a garage son!

Hope you feel better chuck! Here is what I've been up to. Have it mostly done, just need to tidy up some things and will upload a finished pic. I know this isn't exciting for most but playing at moderate volume with headlights on. It used to hover in the low 13's before the new wiring and 2nd batt. You can also see my fancy new usb port I made in the dash.

Nice truck! I highly recommend Don at SDS. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Not to mention his product is top notch. Not sure what your budget is but from the preliminary measurements it sounds like a single 15" xcon would be up your alley. Very clean sounding and quite loud even in a sealed enclosure. Something like a 1k amp would mate up nice. Also when shopping around dont make the mistake of thinking you have to put rms power to a sub to perform correctly! Welcome to the forums -
How far is the port from the sub? I built one very similar to yours and had a slight unloading issue. Other than that looks good!
-
Is that a question? If that was to me then yes everything is custom built and designed by me. I do have some insight from suggestions from this forum on the build. You asked for feedback and suggestions. I'm just saying I wouldn't just put 4 15's in the trunk and cut a hole. I would do 2 sealed against the back bit don't think that is an option for you. If you for sure want 4 I would still prefer a bandpass ported thru the armrest. That way all the sound is channeled to the cabin and it doesn't sound like king Kong is trying to bust out of your trunk. Doesn't sound like a wall is an option for you either. This is just my opinion. I'm sure other people have different ones. I've owned several trunk cars over the past 20 years all with subs. I know what I liked and what I didn't.
-
Not in the trunk. I mean if I had a trunk car.
-
For a trunk setup I would only do 2 things. Firing forward sealed up. Requires at a minimum a flip down seat. A 4th order bandpass ported thru an armrest or something of the sort. Well maybe a b pillar wall but that's a little more extreme.
