need help picking subs and components

I mostly listen to rap, hip-hip, r&b and sometime techno. I was looking at the icon put wasn't sure if the BC2000d puts out enough power for 2 icons. I just want to be able to hear the music clear, loud and able to keep up with the bass if I do decide to ad a second BC2000d and subs. Well I 90% sure I'll be adding a second one down the road. I didn't mention sound deadening and electrical as I do not know what car its going in but that is going to be decided when the time comes. I know I'll need a ho alt and a few batteries in the back. EDIT: I was thinking of 2 pairs of Crescendo PWX 6.5" and a set of Crescendo FT1 super tweets would that be a good choice for the doors?
  3. I'll be upgrading my system next summer but I'll buying the gear over the winter so come summer it will be build time. I need help pick out subs and some components speakers. As for what vehicle its going in, I'm not sure yet I'm planing on buying a second car also next summer. I'm just trying to have all the gear ready for when I do buy a car, but most likely will be a 2 door car as it will be my car to go to work mostly. I have decided on the amp I will be picking up over the winter, Crescendo BC2000d for the subs and C1100.4 for the mids and highs. Depending on the car and if I have room, I may also down the road pick up a second BC2000d. For subs I have been looking at Skar VVX, Sundown SA and SSA, looking for 15" subs. I'm leaning more with the SSA, witch SSA subs would be better with the BC2000d? Now for components I always bought Infinity kappa I'm on my 3rd set now ( 3 different car) and I would like to try some thing else. I have been looking at Focal and was wondering the C1100.4 put out 180 X 4 and the Focal are rated from 60 to 100 rms, could I run then on the C1100.4? I was planing on getting 2 pairs for each doors, would that keep up with the sub stage? Any help/suggestion would be great Thanks EDIT: as for budget around $300 for each subs and each components.

    Need help with box cut

All I have here is a jig-saw, thats why I'm getting them done for me. We build our own snake racks and every thing was cut at HD and they were all perfect cut. Every thing lined up great. Fair enough then. Make sure to keep an eye on the guy running the panel saw. I suggest laying a 2x4 down at the bottom of the saw where the wood rests so that way the board won't tip over as you near the bottom of it. Also make sure the guy turns off the blade once it hits the bottom of the saw. 99% of the time the wood is 1/16 - 1/8" short cause they run the saw back up the wood and it cuts part of it off. Ok thanks for that info. Would it be better if the side where like end cap (16" X 18") and I cut the rest 1.5" shorter? So 34.5" wide and not the 36"?

    Need help with box cut

I'm planing on building a new sub box and was wondering what would be the best way to get the mdf cut? Box will be 36" wide X 18" high X 16" deep I know I have to take 1.5" off some measurement but what would be the best way of doing it? I will be getting the mdf sheet cut at Home Depot. Thanks EDIT: Does this sound right" Front/back 36" X 18" top/bottom 36" X 14.5" sides 14.5" X 16.5" and the port is also 16.5" high I just having a hard picturing it in my head.

    Need help/advice on box

Ok so I found some more info on the QX 12" sub, http://download.phoe...s_and_Boxes.pdf It says from 1.5 to 4 from what I get, so how big should I make the boxes?

    Need help/advice on box

Ok so I gave it a quick try and a box, does that look around right? Boxes 13" wide X 26" high X 16" deep and .75" thick = 2.3622 cube Port 2" high X 11.5" wide X 18.72" long around 34 hertz = .25 cube 2.3622 - .25 = 2.1122 cube with out sub displacement? I can't image the QX 12" taking that much air space. If that sound and looks right, would that box be ok for the QX subs? EDIT: is that too much/not enough port? @ 13" wide X 2 thats 26" leaves me with 22" for the amp rack.
