This SP4 vs Evil has been discussed already and they are similar enough that in the same box they would have identical output to the ear.

My box for one Sp4 is 7 cubes tuned to 31hz and it does best at around 28 to 37, peaking at 33. Higher then 40 gets cut off pretty bad, But I have 150in of port which may or may not contribute to that. I think you will be alright at 32-34hz tuning. Maybe swift will give his opinion since he has more experience with these woofers.

Not the best choice in sub then.. I have two Sp4 18s, and it plays the higher notes and it sounds good, but its not nearly as loud as the lows. But I have recently been playing with a zcon 18 and it plays the higher notes quite a bit better and is pretty close in loudness on the lows in the same box. Just my experience. Ive heard of Sp4s doing quite well around 50-60hz in certain builds, but that's likely car dependent. Also listen to Swift, he definitely knows what he's talking about

3-5cubes per driver. Two 15s is usually fairly difficult to fit in a trunk with a proper amount of port and airspace without a lot of modification to the car, mainly because of the width. Measurements of the trunk would be helpful.

The point is I shouldn't have to.. I'm unsure if it has the low end extension which is my listening habits. My plans were for tuning it around 30-32. Any higher and it would start to bottom out in the 24-25hz range.

that's where you screwed. The rest of the T/S are valid when building an enclosure.It wasn't about building an enclosure, it was about the woofer itself being able to do what I wanted it to. I would have followed their specifications on a box other then tuning frequency.

I asked for t/s specs on the new warden 21 and box recommendations, and all they gave me was box recommendations. I even said they could just tell me the Fs, xmax, bl, and the rest were not necessary. My friend emailed, and he got that the xmax is 27mm, but that's all. Its the biggest reason I got a refund for my 21, I didn't want to gamble 1000$ on a woofer which may not fit my goals. I like Incriminator audio, I know they are great quality, but its just hard to throw money at a woofer which all you know is its RMS. So I am waiting till more information comes out, before I purchase them again.

Agreed, and that would be likely be different then your teammates.

Uhh no I disagree.. Simply put the goals of The Team series is very well rounded, the sp4 is for the lows, and BTL was for the highs. The Smd is kind of a slightly more musical BTL with higher power handling. They all have their place for what people like to listen to. That's based on what Ive seen and heard of these woofers and their specs, I'm definitely no expert.

Due to certain events in my life the build with the Chrysler 300 is getting put off, but I still want to have a little more bass in the bronco in the mean time. The only thing I have left to buy for the build in the 300 is two more pm1s, 1 more crescendo 3500, and the wardens. I had plans to sell the Sp4 18 I currently have, and buy one of the Warden 21s. So I bought one of the warden 21 yesterday, but I am having second thoughts considering the warden is more geared towards higher frequencies that what I am used to. Also due to the fact there are no specs posted, and no one really knows anything too helpful about the new wardens. I haven't sold the SP4 yet because there aren't too many people around here that know anything about car audio, All the people I know that want the 18 don't have the money right now. I realized that the Sp4 fits my low frequency listening habits, so the thought I had was to buy another Sp4 while I wait till I have the time and money to wall the 300. I would have to cancel my order for the 21, but for now doesn't it seem like the best choice for nearly instant gratification? Would love your guys thoughts, what would you do?

Interesting read, I have two of the Dayton nd105-4s. Very interesting woofer to play with, I'm not sure how much they differ from the original aura sound version though. I thought the upper range on them sounded a little dull, but the bass and mid bass response are quite nice down to 40hz. I always wanted try 4-6 in each door crossed over with a tweet.

It was exactly a month from date ordered till my sp4 18 arrived at my house, Ive heard similar wait times recently.

I bought a leviathan on the 30th of last month, so it's been 14 days. what kind of wait time is there for them to ship the amp? Not in a big hurry, just curious.

So you guys do keep some in stock when you can? Did not know that. I've heard a little about the smaller series that zed is coming out with, anything announced about a decent 2 channel? I've been looking for a 2 channel for another project of mine.

I realize that, I'm just making a comparison and pointing out that it should give you a more specific timeframe then "some build time". But thank you Aaron for keeping me updated

27 days and no shipping yet, that's longer then my SP4 took to get here including shipping. They should really tell you the wait is so long.

You have to be a bit careful, I've had some bass knobs that look similar and use the phone cord, but when plugged in have maxed out gain and you can't turn it down from the knob. Im thinkin phone cord which is like rj12 maybe..

They haven't fully updated everything, they don't sell the old version anymore, they have switched to the 2013 model.

For me its the quality of the product.
