  1. Beware since the box dimensions are for two subs in a normal mount, if you mount them isobaric you only need 1/4th the volume as you would for the two subs mounted normally. You will lose 6dB or so Isobaric but the subs will handle a bit more power allowing you to make a little of it up. That is such a small box already, so I wouldn't bother with the ISO setup.

  2. i have the smartest,  my damn dog is too smart,  the scary part is he learns on his own, from friggin watching.  I can't leave any kind of drink in a bottle around him anymore cause he'll take the lid off (not chew it off, once he opens it, the lid is still usually intact).

Sweet, now you gotta teach him to open the fridge, grab you a beer, bring it to you and open it. Then he can go get his bag of treats and get one for himself--the real trick is just one.

  3. If I took pix of rice rockets here...I would have to make an entire forum for that.

lol that pic of your mom's dog is awesome.

Looks like the dog has "walleye" vision, I think I will come Saturday morning though too.

  4. Assuming you corrected for the box volume so the inverted sub and normal mounting each had the "optimal" enclosure volume the differences would not be audible.

The cone shape in this case couldn't really affect the wave. The angle is really the same inverted / \ = \ / and the motor structure is only nominally in the way and not at all when you consider the length of sub frequencies so it can't create that much extra destructive interference (less than 100Hz is more than 10')

I am sure the difference is electronically measurable and "noticeable" in some realm (like an in an anechoic chamber) but really isn't auditory nor repeatably measureable with a measurement mic in a standard room environment.

  5. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/vladd...-05-05_1456.jpg

this one is in christiansburg, its a civic, and the back deck was screwed very badly by whoever did the bondo work,  S&M is smoother than the lines on his deck(i said deck)

That reminds me of what I helped my buddy do for prom. He had a rusty out skylark that was a bit tricked out but rusted to shi-io, but conveniently it was black so we duct taped over the rust and spray painted it. It looked super funny coming off for the next few weeks.

  6. they look completely absurd. the primer is a nice touch too.

I mean wtf color is that fool gonna paint his car anyway, to match??????? black with neon green racing stripes?? hot pink with a neon green graphic??? I mean who drives a chartreuse car? Or even puts it on their car, except for two weeks in 1986

  7. I was driving home in my pickup tonight (hauled stuff for the parents) and pulled up next to a Neon with HUGE pipes on it for four stoplights. Everyone he revved up, so I let him have it. Smoked the piss out of it at all four, but he kept trying. Not quite sure how he thought 4 car lengths to 80 was going to get less?

Wish I would have had my camera. Huge dual pipes (even though you could see them connected to each other right under the bumper and he also had some shiny 5 spoke wheel covers over steelies. Running a radar detector and the stock stereo turned up to uber distortion levels. Super funny chit.

  8. Nice rims.

We should start a VT Rice Watch type page.

My neighbors would make good candidates, heh.

This is really a must do, I would even say if that is someone's car that is on the site it still needs to be posted. I thought at first that the car had been photoshopped to look like that. That is seriously wrong.

  9. i do mine myself anymore, #2 all over,  such a change from 2 feet long all over,  amazing how people stereotype you too,  everyone thought i was a drug dealer....bah

everyone asks if im in a band

    Are you in a band?

  10. I just gave my cat a bath ...  clogged the drain 3 times ...  I've been having to vacuum every day or two because it's shedding so much ...  If it continues to shed, it's going to get shaved ...  My asthma is bad enough during winter without something shedding all over the place ...

    dogs > cats

    X2

    Not allergic to dogs either.

  11. My hair is getting long enough to annoy me, but nowhere near Tom's length. It's to that point where it keeps stabbing my eye. It's all fro-ey. I need to cut it before it gets emo length, because God forbid....

I'm working on a Fro as we speak. Way out of the norm for me. I usually grow it out a little for the winter, but I'm pretty much bald all spring and summer. I hate long hair too, but I want to see how stupid I'll look with an afro.

    Do it.

    :stfu:

  12. long hair doesnt necesarily = hippie

True, but long hair /= middle management either.

    :)

Why are you only shooting for middle management? You can go higher. Believe me it is the only reason I don't have a full beard and long hair too. It is pretty hard to be the "perceived hippy" and be a manager, especially sales management.

  13. i'm not competing with it, i just want more output. my nine.1 doesnt do it for me, and i figure i'd might as well buy a monster amp so i never have to say "man, i wish i'd have gotten that amp" again. i really dont think 900 rms daily is really pushing it. aren't they rated to 700?

aren't sealed boxes better for power handling than ported?

Most of the time that is true, but on a similar note if you just wanted more output you could have just used a ported enclosure instead of the sealed one. It would make a bigger difference SPL wise by far than going from 600 to 900 watts.
