I will say this is one of the ugliest front ends of a car I've seen in a while.

Yes, pretty much fuck BMW.  Even the M5 has me turned off now.

Gaudy AF is the new in.

Dudes will be wearing sunglasses that match the kidney beans in no time.

Along with 3 polo shirts stacked on each other.  Fuck.

  3. If I could buy a stick a V10 M5 would be on the table, but being I am using my wives truck to tow my toys she has to be able to comfortably drive whatever I buy in the winter.  A stick will not make her happy.

It's funny, a lot of people want to buy the car that no one else has. I want to buy the car that everyone else has so when it breaks, there is a huge aftermarket to take care of me.

Exactly why my wife has a Jeep and one of the greatest things about the Escalade.

As for the 3 looking like the 5 in the current ones from a long ways away they all look the same....and it sucks.  If it didn't suck I'd be ok.  The E class is downright ugly as fuck.

  5. The RR supercharger may make the Lexus as much fun though.  Part of me prefers the power than spools and keeps coming and part of me likes the nasty holy shit now.  For winter the spool up is better.

OMG, prices are SO stupid for everything now!  I looked at a '19 Civic Si with 6K miles and they wanted $29K.  Sticker on the car was $27!  I see people asking $2K for non-running cars.  Just nuts!

I could use a new truck, so I priced out an XL F150 today.  It's the lowest model, doesn't even have power windows, locks, or cruise.  It was $40K.

Yep.  Kills me because the CTS-V's were 10-15k less pre-Covid

  7. If work didn't lease shit for me I would say the same, but I also want to maximize what I get.  Can lease that as cheap as a new explorer except with the explorer there is a warranty so the repairs on the car will be my problem.

  8. I fit just fine in the Caddy.  Cost of ownership is huge to me as I am cheap.  If the residual says high I will make money.  Depreciation + repair I would like to minimize.  The Lexus maintenance would include a supercharger and stereo stuff to fix the nonsense they have.

  9. The V1 & V2 were pretty much the same, but the 3 is more the new Camaro than Cadillac....or the Camaro is more the Caddy..  Either way.  17.5+ gets the new Cue (still yuck, but isn't plagued with the screen bs), and most of the other fit and finish shit is miles better.  Shock prices and parts are absurd, but cheap compared to the Germans or the Lexus.

The Lexus feels slow.  Drove one again a couple weeks ago.  It also feels old in the interior.  When I am paying $60k for a car I'd not like that feeling.

I know I told you to talk me out of it and I am arguing...but it isn't because I don't want to be talked out of it.  You know I take 80 years to decide on a car and pretty much have it down to the Lexus and the Caddy, but my wife asked me the million dollar question which is what will make me happier when I open the garage and see it.  For the Lexus to win that it will need a supercharger added.  The Benz I don't think can make me feel that way as it is truly the ugliest $100k sedan I have seen.  The BMW doesn't differentiate itself from the standard 5 series to do it.  I am also scared like fuck of owning one after my last AMG experience.  The initial purchase is on work, the maintenance on me.
