Quick question. If I have two subs at 1 ohm each and they were wired into a mono amp with 4 connectors, would the impendance come to 1 ohms since they were technically in parallel?

I am now new to these forums and I hope to learn more about car audio by being a member here. It also seems that there is a great deal of people here with much knowledge about the topic unlike other forums. I was referred to SoundSplinter by a friend who swore they were the best LSQ drivers. I will soon find out when I install them in my boy's car. I got into the car audio scene a year ago and have loved it ever since. As soon as I get my new amp I am planning on going to SPL drag's in the Beginner SPL Class and work my way up. Anyways, I am done with my introduction. -Airmack

New guy here. Looking for help on a potential audio setup for my 2010 Dodge Charger. I'm looking to get 2 12" subs, amp, and enclosure first. ( <<<looking to spend about $800. is that feasible?) Then looking to get an aftermarket head unit down the line. I honestly have no idea about car audio so I need some suggestions. I want something that sounds good but hits hard. I mostly listen to hip/hop n rap so I like bass but not to the point that's all I hear. Any suggestions or opinions would be great. I know you guys probably get these questions all the time (sorry) but I figured I'd ask people who know something about car audio. Thanks, Blunt

Newly converted to FIcarudio products by xconcepts from caraudio i am wondering what is the min power requirement for the SSD's i will be replacing a pair JL Audio 10w3v2's in a sealed enlosure of 0.65 which are both being powered by a JL Audio 500/1 , and being unfermiliar with the FIcarudio subs , i'm wondering will a pair of 10 "SSD's work properly being connected and boxed the same way ?? The Jl's were rated 300 W each , will the amp be sufficient for these two SSD's to perform properly ? Will also be adding a pair of 10 " 2 ohm BL's each connected individually to it's own Alpine PDX 1000.1 in a ported enclosure tuned at 32 , will add P chamfer , cooling , Flatwin…

Well, I've been researching newer brands and products on the forum for awhile...figured I may as well atleast get in my first post. I'm pretty good w/ the search function so I hadn't had much need to post, but here it is. Been through countless different systems in countless different cars over the past 11 years. You know the drill, 2-3x's as many systems as cars. More of a DIY'er, but now I'm lazy and happen to be old friends w/ a master installer so I choose to save myself some time nowadays. Currently organizing a build for an 03 Expedition that was recently acquired, more to come...stay tuned. (Wish I still had my PG MS2125, bet amp I ever had.)

I recently tried to post an ad to the classifieds for my TC Sounds LMS12's but failed to read that I needed 25 posts and I also need SSA in each picture. I figured I'd let you guys know what my setup is as of right now to start things off: 07 Black Civic Coupe Ex Phoenix Gold Octane-R 15.0:1 Monoblock Amplifier Fi 15" Q (+BP Power Option) Ported Box Built to Specs (Flare on Port Added) No Head Unit, Stock Premium Speakers Stock Battery/Alternator 4awg Power and Ground This is probably my 5th setup ive had. Well, if any of you might recognize my name, it's because I'm not exactly new to car audio or forums lol. I just haven't been on SSA yet. A friend told me to check it out, so why not. Glad to see some new faces and a new forum for a hobby and industry I'm so passionate about. I'm sure I'll answer as many questions as I can, more than I'll ask most likely. And I'm sure hanging out and shooting the shit will happen often enough as well. I look forward to checking things out and talking it up, guys.

Hello, I'm Dave, and I'm a audioholic. I don't know if I will ever come clean..... Now aside from that I have been registered here now for a while but have never got around to posting anything. Denim knows me from another forum and talked to him pretty extensively about the SSA products. I am planning on competing next year in MECA's SPL league. I will probably shoot for the AS2 Class as I have been out of competition audio for nearly 7 years now, but I have 6 years of prior professional competing experience. I currently have an install in my Dodge Ram and will be changing some time after Christmas. I am currently running 3 15" Soundstreams, and will be changing to a sing…
