Well first off let me say I have been fllowing this forum for about 2 months now and I love it. I have to say that I was in such a rush for info that I never look in this section or paid attention to having to post in here for your first 2 post. Anyways my name is Kenneth. I have been into car audio for a long time and since joining the military and having enough money to do the things I like, I started installing my own systems and building my own boxes. Hey everyone just thought i would drop in and give a hello. I am new to the forums but not new to the game. I come from Minnesota so it's hard to find anyone who knows what FI really is. Just last year I bought a 15" Q and threw it in a 3.7 cft3, 32 hz tuned ported box and powered by a Crossfire 1000D @ 1 ohm. Really amazed at the SQ and how it can rape the lows. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and i am also looking for some nice 5.25 components.

Are these two brands made in the same factory Next question what would give best sound quality in a sealed enclosure Fi SSD10 or AA 10 inch Chaos Third question would these sound better than an RE Audio SR10

seen so many people reppin this forum at CA.com i had to come. My system is in shambles right now. i have 2 soundsplinter rli-8's in my truck but one is not runnin right now becuase the brutus i had to push the 2 decided to crap out on me with only 6 hours on it. after it was smoked i found out a lot of hifonics amps had trouble at 1 ohm so it was a lesson learned haha. so i have 1 going on my component amp an old soundstream rubiconII300-2 blah its a great amp but not really what i want to use it for. well i guess this is my hello to the forum lol hope to talk to you all later...

Im new here and the reason i joined is i need help desigining an enslosure for my 15" fully loaded btl. I will be feeding it 3200 rms. i want to know what the maximum port area and box volume i should run with that much power. I want the make this single woofer as loud as possible while still being a daily setup for music only. no fart boxes and i dont compete. its going into a 2000 chryaler 300m (dodge intrepid) i will be facing the sub and port into the cabin sealed off from the trunk.

I've been doing this stuff for many years and after a little lull, I'm back. Found the forum because I'm a proud new owner of a Fi BL15. Hopefully I can give to the forum as well as learn. If you are a local heck I'll even lend a hand. Right now I'm drawing up an enclosure for my Chrysler 300c and would love to see any other ideas.

I dont know much about the technical side of car audio.... i am a wood worker so i love making sub boxes and basic installs and i look forward to learning more here is the most recent box i made, for my jeep cherokee here it is before the grill after the grill, made it out of 3/16 steel very durable. it does resonate with certain freqencies though

anyone have any ideas? ill be running 2 Fi Btl 12's with sundown power

Hi, I'm a new member from Buckeye country aka OH...IO :-) I got re-involved in car audio once my son started driving a year ago. My last foray into car audio was back in the late 70s/early 80s so I have had to learn alot of new things. We have put an audio system in his 3000GT consisting of Pioneer 4900 hu, Rainbow coax in front, Polk 6x9 3 ways in rear (his choice as he wanted 'surround sound' but i tried to persuade him otherwise-)), and 2 12 type Rs currently in a sealed box. Going to build a ported box for them soon. Front/rear stage amp is Precision Power A1200/4, sub amp is Power Acoustik OV1-4000D, all wired via 1/0. I look forward to being a member here.

Purchased my SA-15, sax-1200d and 100.4 a few months ago, just starting to install everything now and as I'm in the design process for the sub box and amp racks, have a few questions for the box design. I'll be fiberglassing an enclosure into the spare tire well of my rsx, and would like to make it a sealed enclosure for the sake of making my life easy since it will be my first build. Where the hell is the search function on this forum btw?

Hey guys, I just signed on to the forum. I'm relatively new to the world of car audio. I own a '95 GMC Jimmy and have plenty of room in the back. But I'm going to college soon so I don' exactly have a lot of cash to spend on audio equipment. Luckily I found out about Sundown Audio on another forum I frequent. I hope to get one or two of the new SA-8 subs when they come out next month, or maybe on or two of the old E-8s. I'm also enrolled in a woods class at my high school so I was gonna make a few sub boxes as projects in that class. If anyone has any tips on building a vented box please PM me.
