Well there are so many things I could tell you about myself. As you notice my log in the hubby is on here too and we are in the process of building out my car....2008 Mazda Tribute. I am so excited to be competing this year in MECA. We started today by testing to see what frequency will be used. I will be keeping everyone posted with pics as well of our progress we are shooting for January 31, 2010 to be the first show I compete at. There is a lot we have to do but I have confidence we can get it done. I will be competing in S1 this season. I look forward to learning some tricks of the trade on this forum. Hi, another noob to join the forum. Came here to learn more about car audio because i just got sucked into it.

I found this site while researching the effects of impedance rise. I am working on building a system and trying to learn at the same time. I am buying a HDC3 15, my box is 4.5 cubes tuned to 38 hertz, kerfed port with 74.25 inches of port. I have a Hifonics 2010D amp 1/0 gage wire (double runs). Still have a ways to go, but like i said trying to learn.

Hi all. I am looking to replace the stock sub in my Lexus GS 430 w/ Mark Levinson system. (to start) I will be replacing the front door speakers and dash tweeters with components later (probably Focal 6.5 K2s), The rear deck fill speakers will remain stock (if they sound OK after the upgrades elsewhere) Fist I would like to start with the subwoofer. I have a JBL 300W mono amp to power the sub I will be adding. Will the SD10 work as in IB sub? The stock sub I am looking to replace is a 10" mounted in the center of the rear deck. Hey guys. I just found this forum last night as my girl was bugging me to come to bed so now shes gone and I can browse uninterrupted haha. Hey folks. I'm here to learn more about car audio. I've got a 2006 MINI Cooper S that has a piss poor OEM system and a lot of road noise. I've decided I will do sound deadening and audio system improvement. I have a handle on what I am going to do for the deadening, but the audio part is a maze right now. An item that would help me immediately is recommendations for shops to listen to speakers in the Southern California area. Thanks for your help. Paul

Hey everyone. I was running 2 12" JBL subs with a junkey 1200 watt amp, and a 600.1 cobolt orion amp going to 4 6.5" component speakers, all hooked up to a junkey deck. A few weeks ago my truck was broken into and my whole system was taken. Im planning on starting from scratch but would like suggestions for a new head unit, and amps for the FI BTL subs I plan on buying this week. I would like to put an individual amp to each of the 2 BTL's, and I already ordered a replacement Orion amp. I want to make a nice custom SPL system, so any other suggestions would be great.
