Hey, been reading the forum for a bit so i decided to join. I have a 03 Sonoma that im rebuilding the stereo on.

My name is Corey and I am from Lansing, Michigan. I have been installing car audio components and designing/building enclosures since I was 14 years old. I will be 32 this year. Needless to say I am hooked! I have always creeped around the forums but never really posted anything. I am in the process of doing my own car now and I figured I would post it up. Well everyone's title was "Hello", so I decided to do things a little different. Anyway I have a car, it has my second system in it. It is an old maxima and came with a Bose system. I thought it sounded great, until it crapped out and since it had 1-ohm speakers, it meant getting a head unit and new speakers too. That was maybe 2 years ago, so now I'm rolling in my ultra-budget system. It's more of an experiment always in progress. So many moons ago i was a member of TeamSSA with my wife's 2004 Mitshubishi Lancer Ralliart. Things happened and i got out of the car scene. Now I'm back and rocking my 1st gen. XCON in a sealed box of after displacement and bracing 2.8cuft3. on a Audiopipe APCL1800.1, this thing is a beast. I forgot how the XCON behaves and got tingles the first time it did its job in my 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX. I was running it ported on a 3.8cuft3 box tuned at 32 hz in the wife's old car. Besides the loss of incredible lows thats the only thing thats different, it handles completely different. seen so many people reppin this forum at CA.com i had to come. My system is in shambles right now. i have 2 soundsplinter rli-8's in my truck but one is not runnin right now becuase the brutus i had to push the 2 decided to crap out on me with only 6 hours on it. after it was smoked i found out a lot of hifonics amps had trouble at 1 ohm so it was a lesson learned haha. so i have 1 going on my component amp an old soundstream rubiconII300-2 blah its a great amp but not really what i want to use it for. well i guess this is my hello to the forum lol hope to talk to you all later...

Ok, New to the site do hello everyone. I am currently deployed and have a question. I have a standard cab Chevy Colorado, during my first deployment i had a kicker ZX700.5 installed and it ran my to kicker L5 10'' and my Alpine Type X components. Not sure how loud it was but i enjoyed them to the fullest for the past 4 years. Well i am deployed yet again and got bored, so i decided a up grade was needed. Here is my questions...how well of a up grade did i do? I now have 2 Kicker L7 10" in the same box, and a ZX1500.1. That was easy simply becouse the box had the old amp counter sunk in it..the 1500.1 was the same size. And i swaped the Type X components to the kic…
