Hey everyone, This i my first time making an account in any forum so my bad if anything isn't formatted correctly. My name is Robert but I go by Rich, I live in Central Florida. I've been into car audio for about 5 years now so I'm still pretty new. I've had two different sound setups, one was a Sundown x-12 on a Crescendo 1500.1 in a Ford Ranger the other was 4 sa-10s crammed into the ass end of a Grand Marquis on a Soundqubed 2200. Right now I'm driving a bone stock Camry and I'm still undecided on what kind of sound upgrades I'm going to do to it. I just decided to get back into car audio about 2 months ago I've been out of it a long . The last time I did anything serious mb quart precision power and audio control and Orion were the top brands needless to say things have changed a lot. I have been reading thru the post on the forum trying to catch back up but there are a lot more brands now . If I ask a stupid question let me apologize in advance but sundown and fi and all these other brands ssa sells weren't even around back then .

I would like to introduce myself, I'm Nick from Houston. First, thanks for making an incredible place for someone like myself to learn and discuss audio. I found sundown and that's what led me here. I'm a DIY person but don't have quite as much knowledge as I should and would like to educate myself with the goal of reducing my mistakes. Car audio has changed quite a bit. My last system was 2 used 12's and amp installed in a 91 eagle talon back in high school. Oh, I also had tweeter stuck to the pillars completing my "system". Found this place out of the blue, actually. I have been sitting on a BoltarVII for about 12 years - waiting for the right person to have repair it(long story) I came across the Zed repair site which had a link here. I didn't get a response to my inquiry so I'm hoping I can find someone here to take it on. I was in my late teens early twenties when the car audio explosion hit here. I had a friend that was just starting a shop and carried the whole unknown HiFonics line and was totally blown away. Now I'm 42 and looking to get back into it. Hello to all!!!

Well I am SefuGi's Nephew , and we have been into cars for quite awhille now. I am in Florida same town as him so looks like Ill be getting in some of the builds going on. Im running a FI BTL 12 on an AQ2200d. I was going down the road the sub hit 3 times and static came in then it stopped all together & Started smoking. Now its not doing anything at all. not playing or putting out anysound? what do i do? will a recone fix this?

Hey guys I'm Leon username LSpindenIII Have been here a few times but just now signing up. I am in the South Eastern area of Minnesota I have a 97 Chevy Cavalier that I am still working on. Current setup is a Elemental Designs 13AV.2 off a Hifonics Brutus BXi2006D. I also have a 96 Pontiac Sunfire GT. It is going to be my track car mainly. Currently is all stock except it's fully gutted and added an intake. Future plans is getting another 2.4 and tranny, doing a motor build with all forged internals, port and polished head, oversized valves, secret cams, then slapping on a supercharger and water/meth injection.

Hey everyone first time posting so hopefully not doing it wrong. My question is has anyone had issues using jl fix 86. I have 17 Silverado with factory Bose. Only thing factory I’m using is the head unit the issue I have is my mids have always been kinda flat I’m pretty certain it’s a calibration issue it always says it’s calibrated and all lights green but I literally returned speakers thinking something was wrong with them then discovered re calibrating the fix will make it sound different sometimes but always shows it calibrated. I’m thinking maybe different vehicles may require extra steps to acomplish proper calibration. I did get it a little better by turning gains…
