Newbie Sign IN

I'm Scott, out of Atlanta Georgia. I'm a up and coming/learning installer. Currently at Fry's Electronics. I've been learning on my own, making every mistake in the books since I was 15 and my buddy got his first car. I'm now only 19, and 3 months into being a working installer. So far worked on some really cool cars, done some pretty cool installs. Just a few pics of my favorite installs so far. I'm more of an SQ guy but I'm getting into SPL. Something about seeing metal flex like rubber puts a smile on my face. I look forward to learning a lot here, I can tell there is already a lot for me to read through and that this is an exceptionally knowledgeable forum!

why cant i start a thread in the competition section? my friend owns a shop in beloit and i told him id put the word out that theres gonna be a usaci event there so id like to start a thread in the comp section but i cant for some reason... does it have to do with me being new or something?

Been looking around for a good car audio forum and figured I'd settle down here =D I've been dabbling on and off of car audio for the past 5 years but I have yet to learn the real mechanics of it. So anyways nice to meet you all.

Brand new on the forum here. Been lurking a bit since I ordered my DCON and decided to become official. I'm not totally new to the car audio world having had several set ups in the past, but not an expert by any means. Took a several year hiatus and getting interested again. Current ride is a 2003 Audi a4 avant. Ordered a 10" DCON a few weeks ago and getting excited to receive it. The sub will be getting 3 different boxes, starting with an ideal sealed MDF enclosure, then a close to ideal ported MDF enclosure. Probably ending up in my first attempt at a glass enclosure which will most likely be sealed. I am a guy who really, really needs my cargo space so the MDF enclosur…

Found this forum from the sundown website. I have a new system going in my titan with CDT ES Gold 3way front stage and a Sundown amp powering it for now. Undecided on subs at this point but much more for SQ than SPL. Looking forward to getting it all together. This is a 04 Nissan Titan King Cab.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Ordered 2 DC level 3 15's this week and I can't wait to receive them. I tried to build a small low power system in my Dodge Ram ( 2 twelves on a Memphis 1000D). but I can't take it any more. I NEED BASS IN MY LIFE! Hello to all! This is my first post and I'd like to get some info (please). I've a 2007 Subaru Forester that I plan on having a system installed and have some questions concerning the install. The system will consist of Tru amps, t03-250.2 (for sub) & t03-4.150 (for front tweets & mids). HU will be Clarion DRZ-9255. The speaks will be either Hybrid Audio Referernce or Seas Reference. Anyway, here are the questions & pardon me, I know only enough about installs to start a fire. 1-Are the DRZ-9255 crossovers active & do I need outbord crossovers? 2-Is there such a thing as a sub that can/will compliment the seas or Hybrid drivers? 3.
