I've made a few posts on this board before but I thought I should check in here. I am still a noob to the car audio scene, but I am learning more every day. Now that I am out of college and got myself a new car, I am putting together my new system, so I will be on the board quite frequently in the next month or more. Thanks to all the guys who have helped me already and to those who will help me in the future.

Hey guys. I just found this forum last night as my girl was bugging me to come to bed so now shes gone and I can browse uninterrupted haha. I'm putting together a whole new system for the car after blowing my 2nd RE SE12( don't know how/why that happened BTW if anyone has answers I'd greatly appreciate) and this site looks to be a wealth of awesome info and advice. Current status on the car is stock HU, JL 500/1 amp, and a cheapie pioneer sub i got just to have SOME bass while i purchase everything. I just wanted to say hi, i have used fi subs in the past im back using them .I just placed my order for a 15 inch D-2 ssd with copper coils.The subs goin in a box tune to 35 Hz, sub up ports back. what u guys think of the tuning for this sub?

Obv new to forum. been doing car audio for a fe years now, but now im starting to hit the forum and really try and do some build so soak up the knowledge! Well, my name is Alex, I'm from Louisiana. This is my CAF user name, but on CA.com, my user name is BulldogSr04. I drive a 97 Camaro Z28 Droptop, thats how the name is derived. I tend to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to internet trends, and I am happy for doing so. I have a great sounding system, and I am unique in my hometown. Some of you might already know me from Youtube, for those who don't I "Bass-out" cutting-edge bass music for a bunch of the basshead peeps. I don't have a vehicle or nothing, but I do have a custom system in my room that puts some car systems down hard lol. My system consist of 4 12" mids, 6 5" mids, 4 2" silk dome tweets. Powered by a Denon-AVR3803 for the mids and I have a small 200 watt amp for the tweets. The bass power comes off the Denon too. I used a phase converter on the right and left channel and brought it down to 4 ohms & use a low pass filter from a salvaged home theatre sub. I found this site while researching the effects of impedance rise. I am working on building a system and trying to learn at the same time. I am buying a HDC3 15, my box is 4.5 cubes tuned to 38 hertz, kerfed port with 74.25 inches of port. I have a Hifonics 2010D amp 1/0 gage wire (double runs). Still have a ways to go, but like i said trying to learn.
