*EDIT* Found the alternator on your website, will the 180 amp HP work my setup or will I need the 320? My planned setup will be running 1 sundown SAZ-1500d and 1 sax-50.4... Are these the same alternators as the one offered for the 02-06 4cyl Camry? Thanks

Hello I have a 2007 Mazda 3. It is a 4 cylinder 2.0 liter engine. I will be running an saz-2500d and another speaker amp so probably 2800 watts total just in car audio. I just want an alt that can support that without spending too much money. Hopefully best bang for my buck under 400$?

Godday Rob and Kyle, I'm needing an alternator for my 2008 Hyundai Elantra, 2.0L DOHC engine. I'm going for high idle output, but not something that will be a strain on the engine because it is a smaller vehicle, HP series probably.

We decided to play with one of our 390XP's on the Dyno. We only have 320 amps of loadbank on this dyno, but in layman's terms this is an almost 400 amp alternator that will do 213 at what our competitors call idle? I just call it ridiculous amounts of power DC Power style.. Everybody else, dream on... And to think, somebody turned 4 of these down....

Hey everyone i am new to car audio and am planning on doing something big. Well first I was planning on getting a 250 amp alt with 2 yellow top batteries supplying power to 2 audio q 2200 amps connected to 2 12 fi btls . My question is that is there anything i need to be worried about? Because i was wondering if different parts of my car for example the dash lights or head light are being supplied with excess power? Is there some sort of regulater that controls the flow of current to the different appliances and delivers what is needed? THANKS! your help is highly appreciated

How much of a difference and what kind of benefits will I get by running a 15.1 voltage regulator on a 270xp? I just got my 270xp last Friday and it was suppose to have this upgrade regulator in it but after I installed the alt I notice that my voltage is only at 14.3. So I think they forgot to upgrade to the 15.1 regulator.

I keep hearing about 320s, 380s, and 390s. Even seen people have them installed. But I can't find any real info on them. Any possible way to get info on the 300+ amp Alternators y'all have? I have a 01 F-250 with 7.3, do you have any big ones to fit it?

The purpose of this thread is to discuss the design flaw of the 250XP alternator case. This thread is NOT to BASH on DC Power so DO NOT use it to do so. I am here to discuss ONLY fact's, and help improve on design quailty. The mounting ear has broke twice on my 250XP alternator, in under a year. This is installed on a 2.3L 4 cyl equipped 99' honda Accord. The case is weak due to not enough material left around the mounting ears and the bracket allowing too much movement. From what I understand DC Power will be redesigning the case and leaving more material. I will post pics of the new one if Rob does not. If this happens again I would hope for a bracket redesign also.…

I was browsing your site and saw that past 2006 you only have alternators listed for the Escalade. Is there anything available for the DTS? I'm going to be adding a lot more power to my system in the next few months and will need an electrical to back it up.

Hey probally just spitting in the wind with this question but figured yall could have some idea or thought. Im picking up a 1992 volvo 240 wagon and im a big power hungry type person and need a nice beefy alt that can perform well and pump over 100amps of charging power My problem is YOU CANT FIND ANY alt's over 100AMPS of power that fit onto the mounting spot, any type of alt anybody knows of that would fit or someone that could custom make something to fit my application. Gave up on the sedan and just put a bosch 100amp in it, worked ok just enough amperage for my needs atm. Would really appreciate your input on this foreign car issue.

I got the alternator and installed it in my lumina (was installed for less then a week), the car broke down and it's been sitting in my closet. I know you guys offer case swaps, but I know I'll need a higher output alternator for my 2011 Ford V6 Mustang, Does DC offer either exchange + the difference between the two alternators? I believe it is a 260SP line (I'm not 100% sure), The alternator it's self it was for a 1996 Chevorlet Lumina v6.

Hey, I recently sent in my alternator to be sold by DC... Seeing how they sell like crazy, anyways I sent my alt I believe two weeks ago before MECA, and Rob said he recidved it, he said it was basicly BNIB. I have not been able to get into contact with Rob Nor Kyle, this is a new experience with DC, typically their customer service is fantastic to say the least. My name is Julian smith and the number will be an (816)830-XXX number calling from Missouri. Whenever you guys can give me an update or a call thatd be great. Thanks a lot guys. (and I don't want people posting on here who aren't Affiliated with DC Unless they Are mods, I don't want some nonsense going on, thank…

I was just wondering recently, why aren't DC Power altrrnators sold in our community store? The relationship between the 2 companies seems pretty strong. Also, I'm not cheap by any means, but with all the hype and support provided by SSA, why aren't there any sort of special deals for us? Like obviously I know that could be abused a bit. But what if this magical appearance of a discount came in the form of a admin/moderator requested code generated by DC Power themselves? I just don't see the reason for the marriage of one company over another with no incentive from either. I do see the quality in the product presented but just wondering as I lay here somewhat tipsy. Fe…

Let me start by saying this is not a bashing thread against DC Power Engineering. I actually hope this works out in DC's favor but after a reading few threads on the forum this got me thinking. I started this thread because you always hear of the occasional bad experience with a customer and then you have those people that say nobody ever writes if they have a good experience with a customer or there customer service. There seems to be mixed reviews on DC Power Engineering, so why not let the public speak for its self. So overall how would you rate your experience with DC Power? What would you tell a friend that asked your opinion before making a purchase?
