Hey guys, So here's pictures of stock harness and new one: stock new The blue wire goes to positive stud on alt, correct? I know where the black positive cable from stock wiring goes to positive stud on alt (from stock pic) But where/does the white wire, and the two red wires go to the old wiring? In the pic you see the red wire with ring terminal on left, but on the right theres another red wire about 3-4" long with no ring terminal, just dangling (is this one used?) Thanks

ok i have a 2002 dodge dakota 3.9L and i noticed that they just added alts for my truck (very happy about that by the way!) anyways, im currently running an AQ1200D, i did the "big 3" and i have a kinteic HC2000 under the hood, now in the spring i plan on buying another 1200D and strapping them, and as it is, with the headlights on i get voltage drops to the low 13's. the 2 alts im looking at are https://www.dcpowerinc.com/13874-180-hp.html and https://www.dcpowerinc.com/13874-170-oem.html now i dont see much difference in the 2 except a 10 amp difference and a 60 dollar difference (and the cheaper one puts out 10 more amps) so my question is, which should i get, and wou…

The other thing that's being worked on are dual kits.. We already have a ton of them, but are always getting requests.. If there's something that you are looking for, please let me know.. Also, if your in So-Cal and have a vehicle, we're ALWAYS down for doing new things..

Since I am the one who heads up product development here at DC Power, I would like to get some input from the members here about products you guys are looking for that we may/may not already have.. I think we are more known as a "high priced" manufacturer because that's what our specialty is, building the biggest, baddest, meanest alternators you can get.. However, we also have a lot of other things we can do, we just dont get asked alot for them. Not only that, I think most people automatically assume that "I need a 200 amp alternator" when they dont. My goal is to get a lot of input from the community here about what is MOST important to you for charging system needs. O…

We've had a ton of inquiries for new models of our XP series alternators recently, and we're just finishing up our most recent production run of housings.. We have the following new models coming out now.. I'll post up pics of the alts as soon as the frames get back from the anodizer and I get production versions built.. XP series alternator for Most Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep This is what we call a 6/12 straddle or "J" mount.. This fits pretty much everything Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep produced from '88-'02 That wasn't a 4.7V8 XP series alternator for Mazda/Mitsubishi/Subaru This is another 6/12 straddle or "J" mount, and is almost a universal Japanese mount alternator, literall…

Hey probally just spitting in the wind with this question but figured yall could have some idea or thought. Im picking up a 1992 volvo 240 wagon and im a big power hungry type person and need a nice beefy alt that can perform well and pump over 100amps of charging power My problem is YOU CANT FIND ANY alt's over 100AMPS of power that fit onto the mounting spot, any type of alt anybody knows of that would fit or someone that could custom make something to fit my application. Gave up on the sedan and just put a bosch 100amp in it, worked ok just enough amperage for my needs atm. Would really appreciate your input on this foreign car issue.

  9. I Accidentally left my carputer on last night. When i started my car the XP wasn't making my engine happy charging the batteries up at full load. Anyways, this is what happens when the 270XP loads down a 4 cylinder's engine at idle. It takes 20 seconds for the computer to actually realize what's going on and adjust for the load compensation. The alternator in this car idles at 2,000 alternator RPMs. 500 alternator RPMS LESS than the competition. It's rated to do 180 amps or so at this RPM. It takes power to make power. This proves it.

*EDIT* Found the alternator on your website, will the 180 amp HP work my setup or will I need the 320? My planned setup will be running 1 sundown SAZ-1500d and 1 sax-50.4... Are these the same alternators as the one offered for the 02-06 4cyl Camry? Thanks

The thread is to commemorate DC Power for standing behind thier product and honoring my warranty. DC Power makes a top notch product, and has good communication with thier customers. My story: I ordered and installed my 250xp alternator in march of this year. The bracket fit perfect and the wiring was a breeze thanks to the correct plug installed on the alt. No wiring adapter which is good in my book, because every extra connection is just one more place for a problems to occur. The belt that was included was the wrong size and one of the bolts was the wrong thread pitch and alittle on the short side. NEITHER wrong part was a big deal as I could get the correct parts loca…

Hey there! I hear alot of people requesting alternators made for their vehicles that aren't specifically up on your website!! So i'm here to do the same. Now i'll only really get a DC if i can find a buyer for my Iraggi. But just out of curiousity and possibly future installment, do you guys have alternators available for my vehicle or would they have to be custom made? and of course, the price!!! Thanks for your time!

I was wondering if you make a dual kit for this car. I have the 3.4l. Iraggi did it and I was going to order from him, but he's MIA. So I know it's possible. Let me know what you got or what you think about this.

Currently you guys(DC Power) offer 2 models for the 2003 Toyota Camry 4 cyl. variant... Question 1: Are there any other models that have not been applied to your site? Irragi and Ohio have many different version of similar output ranges and I was curious if maybe you offered more? Question 2: I did the comparison of the 2 different models and I was thrown off by something: So why is the output at idle higher on the lower end model? Seems like that model is working closer to max than the other and potentially "not last as long" or "do more work constantly"? Question 3: (might be on your site already) What is the lead time or processing time, for example if I ordered …

I got the alternator and installed it in my lumina (was installed for less then a week), the car broke down and it's been sitting in my closet. I know you guys offer case swaps, but I know I'll need a higher output alternator for my 2011 Ford V6 Mustang, Does DC offer either exchange + the difference between the two alternators? I believe it is a 260SP line (I'm not 100% sure), The alternator it's self it was for a 1996 Chevorlet Lumina v6.
