Got on the phone with Dennis, I asked if they had an alternator for my 2.0l Mazda 3 2007. Told me I was in luck. I asked a few questions then I made the payment. very happy with the ease of ordering the product. The very next day, unfortunatly my car was totaled. Claimed totally unfixable. Well I bought this last tax season and after some growing pains with my car everything is still going good. I'm pushing a Crescendo 3500d and a Crescendo 1000c4 with a xspower S3400 under hood and a D1200 in the trunk. voltage at the front battery after a 20min drive on the highway is 14.6 driving and maybe 14.2 at idle. I set it like that maybe I can move it up a tad but I'm comfortable like this I really don't want to mess anything up. I'm saving pennies to change out the D1200 with a group 31 battery. i have 2 batteries (group 31) and a 240A mechman alt. i just got my amps back today from repair and while driving (even on high way) the voltage drops. i got as low as 12.4 during most songs while at a high volume. lower volumes it performs much better than factory but im looking to stabilize my setup even at high volumes. i did some drive testing today and my RPM sits at 650 idle, 1100 on most road driving and 1600 at 55Mph. when i turn O/D off the voltage seems to stabilize a bit more but still not perfect. upgrade to a larger alt? add another battery? add a second alt? thoughts?

im having problems with the alternator i bought from you guys......its a 220a alt for a 91 civic..... ok well when i first installed the alt, it had a whining noise to it... sounded like a s/c spoolin up after about 3k rpms... and the whining got louder...so loud it was louder than my turbo (no it wasnt the belt squealing lol).... well the alt finally died and stopped charging.....so i sent it back to you guys to repair.... well when i got it back and installed it... it was still making the same whining noise....but atleast charging..... well after about a month now it died again....doesnt charge at all......i was wondering if i could send this back to you again and have …

I can't say enough positive things about this alternator besides it was a wise decision to go with Mechman. well my question is if my car is pcm controlled is it possible to perhaps run my stock alt on my electrical for my car nd have my 2nd alt from you(mechman270 unit) and run it with just my car audio equipment? and the pcm will not controll the output at all?
