I ended up getting 07mercs alt. Instead of getting a used one, I was wondering how much you would charge me for one. Just need a black or grey one for a 6g alt, since the white one is for pcm controlled. funny thing is its 5 different regulators lol Would be one of these not sure what soft start and transpo mean exactly http://store.alternatorparts.com/f605-6g-series-alternator-voltage-regulator.aspx http://store.alternatorparts.com/partnof600.aspx

Last weekend the Mechman Jeep had to pull a full-size Blazer up a muddy obstacle. Temps in the 20's, wet ground don't make for a lot of fun when you are stuck, but the 14v batteries with the 270a Mechman alternator power this Smittybilt 8k winch quite well. Check out the video to see what this is all about- <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-UaN6RAOGuQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://youtu.be/-UaN6RAOGuQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UaN6RAOGuQ&list=UUJjdch1py9Moz126daEkBGg&index=1&feature=plcp So who here wants 14v power?

I posted this elsewhere and was told by many that Mechman is the place that I would find the best answer. I have some questions concerning a high output alternator and figured there's no better place on the internet to find a good answer to my problem. I own a 2002 Tahoe, and am in the process of trying to set up dual alternators. The alternator I ended up with is manufactured by Mean Green Industries. I know nothing about this alternator. The website tells me very little useful information about it. When I attempt to contac…

Was wondering if anyone at Mechman could reply to this , looking to sent my alt in for a self exciting upgrade Was posting my ideas and was given this response. "Just reinstall the stock one and use your mechman you have now as the second alt. Call them up and see if they'll R&R it and install a self-exciting regulator. Shouldn't cost more than $100; far cheaper than a new alternator" Thank you, Carlos

The first video shows you the visible differences between the 2011 SMD unit and the 2012. Videos to come shortly of the 2012 unit on the dyno to show you the brutal power curve these units produce. Up until I sold my Crown Victoria I personally ran one of these units in my daily driver, total reliability and incredible performance all the time.
