Hey. i want to choose a sub that can work well in a small sealed box. in the price range i can afford, i found three contenders : rl-i 10 DLS UR-10 and Ground Zero Uranium 10 sorry for the language in the ground zero link... i asked for small sealed box application, because the designer said sealed box woofers work well in the DeathBox. there is one decware forum member which uses an rl-p 12 in the 12" version of the deathbox with great results. but i already have the box built and want to buy a ten. 500w rms @ 8 ohm available. sq oriented home theater setup.

I'm looking for the best overall SQ and SPL, a good balance. I'm only getting one sub cus I don't really have the space for 2. But I'm getting a custom box built around 2.0 cu ft. Tuned around 33hz. I have a Rockford 1000bd-1 (birthsheet 1373rms at 14.4v) . Wired to 1 ohm. Don't say Fi Bl just because your a Fi fan, I need to know which sub is better. THanks

I would like to thank everyone that has orders pending with me. I am currently flying solo while Jimmy (business partner) is finishing school. No chit man, good info Not really. Think about what is being stated here and how a speaker works. When you connect positive to one side of the coil and negative to the other, you complete the circuit and current flows through the coil creating a magnetic field which reacts to the stationary magnet. When the signal swings positive the cone moves outward, it swings negative and the cone moves inward. If each voice coil were wired in opposite of eachother and connected to a mono amp, the end result would be no movement. Or atleast very little. They would be fighting eachother.
