Here is some pictures of the carpet I offer. The top picture is a silver swatch of normal trunkliner material, a piece of black carpet which is what I prefer to use becasue it is much more rugged and personally I think has a better appearance. The board is half inch MDF to get a scale of the thickness of the carpet. The second picture is color swatches of the carpet I carry. I also carry the normal black, heather, and silver trunkliner.

I want a SSA XCON 15D2 in a ported enclosure. I was planning on using a 15" ported Khaotik enclosure for the XCON 15D2. I made a box out of plywood that measures 20"h, 36"w and 18d and tried to fit in the trunk of my 2008 Hyundai Elantra, it will not fit. Therefor the Khaotik enclosure will not fit. Can you make a ported enclosure for a XCON 15D2 that will fit in my trunk? I have the room for the enclosure, it is getting it in my trunk that is the issue. Thanks!

My 3-way Bravox are all in my kicks. You can't tell, my stage is still ~6 inches above the dash. If you are doing an array (even a small one) my opinion would be to stack the drivers vertically and not horizontally. Something similar to your 5th picture above. The reason I would say this is because the dispersion is reduced in the orientation of the array, which works to our advantage if you're trying to avoid reflections, and generally the off-axis FR is also worse in the orientation of the array. So if you stack vertically you are limiting dispersion towards the dash and floor which reduces reflections and you aren't sitting in the off-axis area, if you run the arra…

Gnome Audio was officially founded earlier this year (04) as an official supplier of custom subwoofer enclosures. Since inception, we have sold more than 100 custom units to individuals across the united states. Thats a lot more than we ever dreamed was possible. This business was first conceived on the principal that nobody should get mistreated or overlooked because they don't have much to spend. We try to provide a high-quality product at the lowest possible price. Although it would be a lot cheaper to just build the box yourself, it's a lot easier to contract us to build it for you and it insures a quality end result. If you're unsure about your building skills or si…

Haven't built anything in a few months, so I've got the itch. Decided I want to do an MJ18 to add to my set up in the gym. Simple 2 channel set up with some Klipsch Legends and a Denon receiver that mostly plays 80's metal or 80's old school/dance stuff to get me fired up. Looks like 4.5^3 @ 30Hz is pretty popular for music, so that's what I plan on doing. Don't need any low freq stuff, just some nice punch for kick drums, etc... Box will be slot ported and downfiring and will also have a TV stand built on top of it, so it's functional. I'm used to building car boxes and normally do 12" of port area per cube of box. How much port area do I need for the MJ in a 4.5^3 box…

Ok, so I just deleted my old account for the fact, that everyone kept bashing me for shit that wasn't my fault, They told me to read the rules, and i only could find one rule that I thought I was breaking and it wasn't what they where talking about apparently. So I want to know why when I ask them to point out what I am doing wrong they won't tell me, and when i read the rules twice and I strill can't figure it out, I obvisouly need help figuring out what i was doing wrong. I just want to know why people just can't be nice and helpful like I thought forums where supposed to be like, not bashing me down just because I didn't know. like really I don't get it, i am a nice gu…

I was wondering if I could get the specs on the MAW12. What ft^3 do they like ? What would be a nice daily tune? Port area? Port width? PVC or slot port? I plan on putting this in the trunk of my Prizm... sealing off the trunk, folding down the rear seat and firing the sub in to the cabin. Should the port fire into the cabin also? I'm working with a height of 14" and roughly a width of 28". Also what amp would you suggest for this set up? I was looking at the Hifonics TXi 4006, but to be honest this I still dont fully understand all the varibles that go into audio. TIA

    1) E46 BMW Factory Amplifier: $30 shipped in continental USA -- Factory amp taken out of my 2002 325i BMW with standard non-HK system. Works fine but, of course, I put a whole new system in the car. **** 2) BOSS REV-585: $30 shipped in continental USA -- Just like the title says. This amp lacks two set screws so it is only suitable for bridged applications. It features a phase shift (0-180 degrees), selectable HP/LP crossover (80-500 HP, 45-90 LP), and a bass boost (0-18 dB). Chassis states "350 x 2" which is peak 2 ohm stereo... my estimate for real world power output is more like the following: 75 x 2 @ 4 ohms 125 x 2 @ 2 ohms 250 x 1 @ 4 ohms It would be quite suitab…

Hi All, Ok, so a few of you mentioned that a 4 Ohm version of the MJ-18 would be in order. It is coming close to my order time, so a batch of these can be included with the main order. I do however, need some commitment from those who are planning on going with 18" drivers in their setup and are strongly considering an MJ-18 (read buying one). Here are the particulars to this: - The 4 Ohm version will have very similar parameters to the MJ-18. I will request that a sample be made and measured to verify. Any changes in specs will be posted here for all to see. - Consider the price of the MJ-18 to be the starting point - $59.38CA. If I can get it lower, I will, and you …

  21. Even though the cones and spiders I recieved were not correct I was able to come up with a little something to test the coil and motor I will be using. You can see from the pictures the OD of the surround is a little to close to the mounting holes. The spider was also a little large so that had to be trimmed a bit. So far I am happy with the coil. 250-500 watts is all that will be needed for daily listening. Any more power really didn't result in much more output on the TL that would justify more power for daily listening. I ran a Bass Mechanic cd on it full tilt for 30 min straight with apprx. 980 watts clamped and the "Coil Bonder" glue smelled a little but the c…
