Power handling is install deL and throw 1200 RMS at it at 2 Ohms. Ported box with my capacitor and in the summer going to do the Big 3 upgrade just want it to be noticeably louder than my current 2 12" MTX Jackhammers that are getting 250 RMS each. In a sealed box The BL is the right choice for that, maybe a good agm battery instead of the cap. Do the big 3 as soon as you can. well im looking at running it with the cap and big 3 ASAP,, and when i have a little more spare money im gonna do the yellow top battery instead of the cap

Welcome to noobdom. Am I writing in a tongue spoken on another planet? If you can't rephrase your comments in a commonly understood manner, your question is answered. BTW, what's stopping you from doing just that? Let me guess; your points are silly at best. Yet, somehow, you feel the need to keep posting, even though this is seemingly a lame attempt to try to get a piece of your own. Ruts-a-ruck. Again with the strawman argument? Clearly, the record says otherwise, so why spin the facts and not act honestly? <SIGH> At the risk of stating the brutally obvious, posting revolves around communication. As you're unwilling to make your comments easily understood, I'm…

so basically i set the sub sonic to 33 Hz since that is what im planning on tuning the box to. and it will make it so the sub doesn't hit frequencies that will hurt it. right?

I like this newb guide, good job Scott. Is it possible to direct the new members to the post after registering ? Or even suggesting them to read ? Not all would read it, but it would get a bit more attention IMO.

If the stuff on SSA's store is out of your price range, check out sonicelectronix.com they have a lot of the usual brand name stuff for pretty cheap. Not sure what your electrical is like or if you are planning to go over the 600w recommended rating, but last time I checked they had some older model Kicker 500w amps for 199 bucks. I was gonna grab one til I found a refurb sae1000d for 230 bucks, so obviously I went with the sundown.

If I trade for an amp I need something that is at least 2500 watts rms. This Audiopipe should be an easy fix, but I just dont have the time or money to do it.

sealed enclosure guessing? after just looking at a pic of your engine the alternator looks pretty easy to get to. So it should be relatively easy. just these three steps alternator to positive side on battery engine block to neg and neg to chassis

Its 4.5" LENGTH after the corner of the port. Not width. It's stilll 5" wide. Nice design! Not talking about the length that is given. 15.25" port wall + .75" for the second wall = 16" 20.5" of internal depth - 16" = 4.5" away from the rear wall. Not to mention if it was 5" from the back it would be tuned to 34hz
