  2. Had a 12" Fi BTL off 2500RMS in a 2.70cuft box @ 30Hz. Trunk setup. Have a different car now and was thinking 2x15" @ 600RMS each, sealed in rear seat area, facing forward (or backward). Was looking at RE Audio SEX series. Just wondering how it would compare to the BTL. Would the two 15's move more air? How would the lows be, and of course SQ difference be?

hey so i want to build an aeroport enclosure for a fi ssd 12 @ 33 hz and i have no idea if this graph is good or not. this box is 2.5 cubft and also i want to use a pvc port but i only have a 6inch pvc pipe at 15 inches in length and for what i need i will need a 21 inch long port for 6 inch port but i have also have a 4 inch pipe that i only need around 9 inches in length so im thinking about using the 4 inch but not sure if that will give me enough port area and not choke the sub. so can anyone tell me if this graph is good or is it too peaky at the 33hz point and if this is too much of a peak how can i make the tuning of the box more flat? test1 graph.bmp

SO today I finished up adding the HC800 to the rear of my car... I have an issue... Before I did this work my system consisted of a JL 500/1 and BA GT2-125 and a 2 farad capacitor.. Knowing that it wasn't really helping I had been planning since late last year to remove it and either put a battery or just go straight to the amps through the distro block... So... I removed the capacitor yesterday and finished off the wiring today.... I now have a static/whine/ somewhat gets more defined and higher in pitch when going from idle to actually driving.. It does not increase with music volume which is good but it is there when paused or playing or even 0 volume so I know it wasn…

Ok guys, I did a little searching of old threads and didn't find what I was looking for. My problem is: My amp (IA 40.1 ) Batteries (big ass diesel truck batteries) and strangely my sub (IA 21 DP) are condensating! I live in Michigan, so I'm assuming this isn't entirely uncommon, but there isn't a lot of info on how destructive it is to your equipment. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Where is the best place to buy Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge wire for the cheapest price? And I also need suggestions on the best place to run my wire in my 2011 mazda 3. Right now I have Knukonceptz 1/0 gauge and the only place I could wire it was under my center console then I came out the side (driver side) and under my seat, and I don't know how to get it into the trunk of my car with it being un noticed, how can I hide it going through the back seat area into the trunk?

I just wanted your opinions on which amp should i go with and btw, when i was browsing the ssa store, what really got my attention was the Stetsom V 2K5 E which does 2500 rms 12.6v @ 1 ohm! I have 2 18s in seperate enclosures. I was told by some others that my ports where to small on my boxes. I had them tuned to about 31hz..so I made them bigger. Should be around 36-37 according to Torres..at the same time I bought a used DD z1 amp and hooked it all back up. Its sounds like shit..wont hit lows for shit. Do you think I tuned to high, or did I get a bad amp? Wtf

Got 2 MB Quart 12's in my Jimmy right now. 300w rms power handling. I'm running a SAZ-1500 on them. Any guesses as to what it will do? It's tuned for music not burping so it's not gonna do anything crazy. I was just have some fun seeing what I could get some cheap subs to do.

So. i have been wondering, what is better for bass. An '02 lincoln towncar, or the 89 crown vic. both have trunks the size of a small house, and both guzzle gas. But what would be the better choice? For the sake of argument, both are show off cars, music-wise, and for looks, both would sit on 22" blades (or maybe spokes for the Linc). The intention is a low-end beast. crushing lows. For whichever you choose, list the setup you would think is best for the space available. I am considering one or the other as a 2nd, 3rd, or maybe 4th car after I run in the bug. I would like the lincoln, but my concern is that, I lack the experience in cars to treat it the right way, i'm v…

I'm going to build my first wall in the back of my 2001 chevy blazer for (4) or (6) 15" AA Havocs. I'm not looking to burp or compete really, just move a lot of air and sound good doing it. I currently have two Havoc 15's ported in a 9 cube box, tuned to 38Hz and it sounds pretty decent. I'm looking to step it up and I'm already maxed out for box size without a wall, so thats my next move. I don't know whether to build a bandpass or a large ported wall. I had a 4th order in my old truck (extended cab pickup) and it was one of the best sounding substages I've ever heard, but I don't know how well it would work in an SUV.

  14. Ok so I 2 FI Q 15s powered by a DD M3a at 2 ohms. I have 1 run of 4 gauge, and stock electrical. The box is 8 cubes at 33hz and is walled in my car but not completely sealed off yet. I only had 20 mins with the TL so I only tested 2 songs and I got a 148.2 at the dash sealed with Lil Jon Throw it up. I just ordered new battery terminals today and My buddy is sending me 11ft of 0 gauge so I can do the big 3. Then I will sound deaden my 2 front doors and whatever I have left over I will sound deaden the floor of the car. After that I will seal off my trunk from the cabin (which is behind the box) but I wont have all the trim panels to go around the box to make it even more…

I have a Ford Ranger Super cab and over the past 5 or 6 years I've owned two Shivas. I have always powered them with the same amp I used for SPL...MTX Thunder 6500D in parallel for a two ohm load (rated on the 'paper' at 402 w/rms at 4ohms and 611 w/rms at 2 ohm). The first one I had in a downfiring box in the center of the extended cab (over the hump). The most current one I had in a really small box (built to take up less room). I never had problems with the downfiring one, even though my little cousin once pushed the dust cap almost completely in...and then I had air leaks so I permanently sealed it in the box...hey, it was already ugly. The one I have now though, tends…

Thinking of running 4 FUSION REACTOR 4" Coaxials http://www.fusioncaraudio.com/north-....aspx#addninfo, 2 in each door. I want to make a plate to fit 2 in each of my factory 2003 Mazda Protege ES 5x7 positions in my front doors. Will be running them off a DSC450 bridged, so 100 watts rms a set. With 2 Kenwood KFC-ST30 tweets in the factory mounts run off the deck, 22 watts rms. No rear fill, gonna leave 6x9 holes open. I want to try something different, tired of just replacing factory speakers with same size upgrades, but not ready to do full blown door pods yet. So, what do y'all think? I think it would be nice and loud yet crisp. Not really anal about having alot of mid…
