hey everyone i am in the market for a new amp. i currently have a us amps xt1600.2 powering my ssa icon 12'' and i am ready to upgrade to something that will do closer to 1000 rms at 1 ohm. i am looking at audiopipes (cant go wrong for the price...i have heard mostly good things about them) and cant decide between the ap1000d or ap1500d. it would be nice to have the extra 500 watts of the ap1500d but i am on stock electrical except the big 3 at the moment. my question is can i just run the ap1500d at the voltage for 1000 rms at 1 ohm temporarily until i get an external battery and what not? or will it still pull more power from the electrical system regardless if it…

Can you believe i finally got to meter the MOAB today ;D I got in the lane and they had the 30sec crapp going on and had a wackass burned cd none of the tracks were labled and only jumped in increments of 5. > i did the sweep and by the time i found the track with the tone my time was up > we only got 1 run... Rippoff but i did manage to get a 149.8db @ 5oHz ON THE DASH.

Been looking at the Fi Qs. But now I've read some good things about the Havocs as well. Just checking to see which one you guys may think would be a better all around daily driver for a sealed box with .90 cuft. per sub. Except for the fact that they're a good company I really dont much about Ascendant Audio. Which one has more Sq and which one is more Spl oriented or would one be better at both than the other? Also how much do the Havocs cost I couldnt seem to find that on their website. Thanks for any input.

Well where to begin? About 3 months ago my friend nick decided to get a blow through installed in his '98 tacoma reg cab. The aaudio shop he went to installed 2 memphis 12's not the mojo but the next step down. His box is each sub in a 1.2 cube firing at each other into a 3.5-4 cube space. With a port that extends out from there into the cab. Needless to say it sounds and his like @$$. Well, you guys have any ideas how to make it better both sq and spl wise, and no a match and gas isnt an option. Any ways I was thinking one 12" or 15" in 3-3.5 cubes ported. with the sub and the port facing forward to go through into the cab. How does that sound? We are starting …

I have 4 gauge power wire going to my two ppi 2100's. I will be adding a US Amps 100 HC for a sub amp. Can I run 4 gauge to it or do I need to step up to 1/0 gauge? Also what would be the perfect set up? What I mean is, I have a diesel truck with two 750 amp batteries and a 136 amp alt. Will this be ok to run this set up? What needs to be changed? Thanks

I have the chance to buy an orion hcca d2400. The guy says it keeps blowing fuses. I'm thinking the power supply is shot. Can anyone give me a rough estimate as to what db-r charges for this sort of repair. I put in a request but haven't heard anything back yet.

I wasn't going to but the stock speakers have horrible cone breakup and it's driving me absolutley nuts. So I might aswell. The system has to be simple and mostly from items I already have. Space is a consideration since the vans main purpose is work (lots of tools supplies etc in the back). The Vehicle is a 1997 AWD Astro Cargo Van. 2 seats and the rest is wide open (1 parts shelf a foot or so back from the drivers seat all the way to the back doors). I'll use an RFX-8240 for source. hi all i am going to be competing for the first time and was wondering what class i should run. i am going to using my fi x 12 in a 6th order bp which is 3.5 cubes a chamber and will be pushing 200w rms to it. also i have a kicker zx 1500 that i just aquired and was thinking of using it at 8 oms on the x so that should roughly be about 375wto 400w rms but was wondering if they would make me run a higher class since that amp can put out 1500w even though i would have it putting out around 400 since it would be at 8 ohms

So what happens if you pump a 12 CVR in a Bandpass box with a 800watt ppi pcx amp? what are the concequenses?

i just turned my dvc 4ohm 15" obsidians down to 1 ohm would i have to change my amp settings. and does the frequency have anything to do with hitting a low note.cause i have the gain n half way turnt up. along with the frequency

i have a bl 18 in my nissan frontier crew cab on a 3000 watt hifonics brutus and i have about 300 more dollars to spend and i planned on getting another battery for about 100 dollars then should i get the epicenter or seal it off i might can do both but pretty much what im asking is what should i do from this point to make my system better

well im runnin two 15 inch DP's off of an IA40.1,, have a slot ported box.. i got on the term lab today and hit a 147 with no tuning on anything.. after i get my tuning right and everything setup the way i want it.. im hopin to gain 2 or 3 DB's , so hope fully i can get it up to around 149 DB's.. just got to say thanks to scottie johnson for hookin me up with the subs and amp.. great combo, very pleased with it,, next season ill be adding two more 15 inch DP's and another IA40.1..

Hey guys it's been a while since I've last been on here, but since then I've decided to see if I could could sell my system. I have a friend interested and he wants to know a price. I told him I would think about it and get back with him. Now my question for you guys is what would you consider a reasonable selling price for my system. Really haven't been on here much, so i'm even more out of the loop than i was. I planned on waiting till next spring (after cross country and wrestling) to do more with my audio, but i can't wait. To start off, i really don't know a whole lot about speakers or tweeters, but i want something with good quality and good price, and from the looks of it, the Mach5 MLI-65 is great for the money. I'd also need some tweeters, and when i searched, most people recommended SEAs tweeters to compliment the mli. Does that sound good, what model of the tweeters, and are there any other suggestions? Hey guys , need a little help here i have my mono amp under my driver seat , and my component's amp under my passenger seat, now i am going to be entering into street stock division this season, and i heard from a reliable source that i would have to move my amps into the trunk to qualify in street stock , and then i heard from another reliable source that as long as the amps are completely hidden under the seat that it would be all good, ??? which is the correct info ?? any help or advice would be apreciated, thanks
