Really haven't been on here much, so i'm even more out of the loop than i was. I planned on waiting till next spring (after cross country and wrestling) to do more with my audio, but i can't wait. To start off, i really don't know a whole lot about speakers or tweeters, but i want something with good quality and good price, and from the looks of it, the Mach5 MLI-65 is great for the money. I'd also need some tweeters, and when i searched, most people recommended SEAs tweeters to compliment the mli. Does that sound good, what model of the tweeters, and are there any other suggestions? I was thinking a 100x2 amp for the mli's (sundown, maybe), and just power the tweets from…

Hey guys! Long time no talk! Just bought a new truck and I'm going nuts listening to the stock system, so some changes are in order! I would like to build a box to put under the back seat where there seems to be a decent amount of room. Thing is I will need shallow mount subs! I was just going to go with the kicker shallow mounts, 2 10's which are less then $90 each but then I came accross the stereo integrity shallow mount which only come in a 12" Pretty sure I will not have a problem building a box to accomodate 2 12's which will have much more bump that I love! They have a dual 4ohm VC's with a 450watt rms rating so I would need an amp that would put out betweeen 8…

I have an opportunity to buy either. full bodies or mini. I am planning to go full. but my question is: 1. Is it worth the extra money to get the pro instead of the cd1e? 2. Will i notice a significant difference? I plan to use a passive crossover that i will make (from schematics the ID tech gave) but will be EQing using my eclipse cd7000(7band peq). iirc i can only use passive on the cd1e and not the pro. correct? I dont think my deck has a fancy enough dsp to handle the pro?...or am i wrong? thanks. oh btw id like for them to play down to 1kish. my mids are hertz hsk 165s if it matters.

Ok, I've got another question. I'm just going to copy and paste this from a thread I started at CA. I don't like to post the same question in more than one location at a time but it doesn't look like I'm going to get any kind of response there. The guide in question is here Thank you for any assistance.

OK. so I am just about decided on the new sub project. I have a jeep cherokee, with (2)mb quart qsd 6" sets, running of off an orion 8004. I have a optima yellow top under the hood, but stock alt, and wires from alt to bat. I want.... to run two 15" havocs off of a Orion 2500D. I'm going to run 1/0 under the hood, and to amp. and get ho alt. my questions are... #1. How big of an alt. do i really need, as anything over 240-250A gets spendy. #2. How many/what kind of battery's should I put next to the 2500d? optima? kinetic? #3. Are batcap's worth a damn(once again, mixed reviews)...? I have heard mixed reviews about the optima's, but Ive had mine for almost a year n…

I've been a loyal kicker fan for years. I've been sold on an 18" Fi Q but I just need a little reassurance that it can have more output than a 15" L7 with 1000 watts rms. I know the Q will have better SQ but I mostly listen to country so not a lot of hard bass to keep up with. I have enough room to port either of the two.

yeah, so today i stopped by my local audio pawn shop today to see what they would give me for the rims on my truck. and of course, as soon as the owner of the shop walked up to my truck, he seen the big ass magnet of the zcon between the seats and wanted a demo.as usual, i got the " ssa audio?? iv never heard of them" so i cranked her up for him and he was very surprised to hear all that bass form 1 15. he then said he was going to look into ssa for his own personal set-up haha. i just wanted to share another one of my "ssa audio??" stories with you guys

And to think of how bad the economy is, people still go way out of there way to help out others, so "THANK YOU SO MUCH GFRONTY!"

Theres been many topics like this before on forums, people wanting comments and suggestions. It always comes back to what that person wants/likes. Ive got a system setup in mind and obivously am looking for things i should look out for, considering im quite new with sundown amps...any questions/concerns/coments/suggestions all welcome, but as i said i would like to stick with this setup. If there is something that is obviously better/ would work better with this setup i would like to know.... Ok, when I bought my speaker from my friend he gave it to me in this small, crappy made sealed enclosure and i need to take the apeaker out, not necessarily right away, but eventually it needs to come out, but the problem is is that 3 of the 8 screws are stripped, so i need a way to take it out without damaging it, o and the surround is made of metal not rubber. Any ideas?

Well where to begin? About 3 months ago my friend nick decided to get a blow through installed in his '98 tacoma reg cab. The aaudio shop he went to installed 2 memphis 12's not the mojo but the next step down. His box is each sub in a 1.2 cube firing at each other into a 3.5-4 cube space. With a port that extends out from there into the cab. Needless to say it sounds and his like @$$. Well, you guys have any ideas how to make it better both sq and spl wise, and no a match and gas isnt an option. Any ways I was thinking one 12" or 15" in 3-3.5 cubes ported. with the sub and the port facing forward to go through into the cab. How does that sound? We are starting …

I live in west Los angeles (santa monica) and my local shop wants $200 just for instalation and $400 to build a ported box. They must be out of their f**king minds. So if anybody lives in los angeles and can build me a box and install my sub and amp, please post. We can discuss Rates and fee's later. This is a good way to earn some extra cash, I will pay for all the supplies and materials+ extra money for labor (we can discuss how much in private via messaging) thanks C
