So today I had a buddy of mine helping with the BIG 3 in my truck. He accidentally hit the positive termninal of the battery with a grounded ratchet. When I Asked if he had disconnected the power wire for the amps he said no. I checked the inline fuse and the fuses at the distro block.... all was good so I hoped for the best. When we finished up and turned on the truck... nothing. After much testing I have determined the 2 USA-50 to possibly be toast but the USA-200 seems to still be good. So unhooked the amps, hooked up the 200 and still no power. When I test the power wires and grounds at the amp i am getting something like ~3 volts WTF. On a side note one USA-50 seems …

This is what I have - Clarion DVD head unit with a 7 inch flip out monitor , 2x Kicker CVX 12 inch Dual 4 ohm (750rms) each wired to 1 ohm in a sealed box , Orion 2400D mono channel amp wired @ 1200 watts rms 1 ohm , Memphis M-class 4 channel 75 rms x 4 , Memphis 6x9 in the rear 85 rms each , Eclipse 5.25 inch 3 way components in the front . Optima red top under the hood , Optima yellow top in the trunk , and a Kinetics cap-killer equivelent to 100 1:farad caps . My Qeustion is - How do you determine what frequency to set the mono amp up to for my subs to perform there best ? I can set it anywhere from 20 hz and up .

I'm always so lucky. once I got a jbl 15wgti,a $600 sub, at a pawn shop for $70. they had it in a crappy box and didnt know what they had. Then a couple months ago I bought a soundstream tarantula tr880/2 for $300 in the box. now I have a soundstream splx 12. I've been to 3 comps and I never see ss in the lanes. But every comp I've been to was a local comp, maybe 15-20 car competeing. Has any one seen anything impressive come from ss. I've seen the xxx. but what about as far as number wise. any impressive cars with soundstream. so far I'm not impressed with the splx 12. thinking about switching brands. So I just installed a LOC on my front channels and ran the RCA cable to the rear..Tried to take off the passenger door panel based off what I found on google. Didn't work out so well (Said screws were somewhere they werent, still no idea what I need to unscrew to lift the panel off..) Any tips? Vehicle is a 2006 tahoe.

Picked up a TC sounds 12" i know it has the 3hp motor and is a D4 im gunna be running it off of me bb2400 at 2ohm so 1700rms to it. but i am kinda mixed on a box...i see so many differant designs. Lports, Areo ports, Bandpass's, Tlines....i dont know which is the right way to go and be the loudest by retaing some nice sound quality but being able to get LOW. i listen to alot of chopped and screwed stuff, honestly i like numbers but am not worried about them anymore id like it be a nice single 12 demo.....something that will get low and just make people be like DAMN thats one 12. any help or ideas everyone? 35"W id like it to go across the whole trunk looks better imo-20"D…

What should i get, where, and why?

OK, i've been doin research on this and i can't get a hold of excessive amperage or Iraggi so maybe someone on here may know. I had planned on running a Lanzar 6000D with an Alpine PDX 4.150 300A iraggi alt with HC1800 and HC2400. Well, i've been doin some research on alts and it said once you reach 300A alt case size, it is extremely large. In order to have adequate cooling, they are normalls about 12" wide by 18" long! There is no way that could fit in there without doin some extensive re-running of the AC lines, but Iraggi makes alts this high which is odd. Something funny has been going on with my sound system the past two weeks. I've been noticing that the bass from my subs and door speakers sound distorted . This is not all the time though, my system will sometimes sound perfectly clean and then go back to playing with the distorted signal again. My electrical is currently stock with 2 gauge wire, a capacitor and my sub amp is a sundown sa 125.2 which does get very hot. I have previosly blew all the fuses in my amp but they were replaced at a local shop. My voltage is usually bouncing around between 10 and 12 according to the meter on my cap. What do you think my problem is and how can I fix it?

well I have my new amp.(from gntar) SPL2-1200. so now i'm wondering what kind of speakers and subs would work well? need some new 61/4" for the front doors. i was thinking of a component set but i'm not sure. also what subs to get. i was thinking of getting two 10"s. if possible i'm trying to get all this for under 500. any ideas? So i am planning to rebuild and i was planning on 4 15's but don't want to give up that much space. I would like to keep it at the c-pillar. So i was thinking 3 15's. So what would i have to worry about wiring up 3 subs? I have 2 AQ2200d to power them so if i strap them i would like to stay near the 2 ohm's. I dont know much about box rise but if i had them wired at 1.5ohm's would that be ok? What other suggestions do you guys have

Okay I got my Damplifier. And I couldnt be any more pleased with it. So I did my Entire TRunk Lid. With more layers of Damp. Where there were rattles. I put it in the hole where the spare tire goes and around the floor of the trunk and a little on walls. So After Applying I still heard a rattle but it was from under the car. So I crawled under and found the rattle. It was on this square metal piece directly under where the spare tire goes. So I degreased it and Slapped 2 layers on that piece. It cut the rattle out quite a bit. So I cranked up the bass to listen for more rattles. I heard a rattle still under the car. Not loud but you can really tell its there. So I crawled…

a few, Circuit Breaker 300 AMP Reset / Self Test 12 Volt / 12V for 1 sundown 3000 at 1 ohm right? one under the hood, leading to the rear, then one in the rear before it gets to the rear cell's, then one more between cells and amp right? 300 amps or 200 thanks, these are better then normal fuses no?

heres the situation..from my battery under the hood to the back of my truck is about 10 feet..but im giving a extra 3 feet better to have more then less..and im also running 2 batteries under the hood with 2 batteries in the back..now keep in mind i have never installed my own stuff ive always had people i know and trust do it..so im just buying the wires for them..so by my calculations i should need somewhere around 25-30 feet of 0 guage wire to fulfill this project? by the way the 2 batteries in front will be about 4 feet apart from each other..1 on each side and in the back the other 2 batteries will be next to each other.and there will be 2 amps back there has well..c…

Ok, 1st question. Ive heard of making cement lined enclosures where you basically build and enclsorue inside and enclosure, but what about cement enclosrues where the outer enclsoure is ment to be removed and the cement finsihed off liek they finish off cement counter tops? Its reletively cheap to finish cement counter tops, you can make them smooth like glass or retain the cement feel. I dont have any plans to do such a thing but im just wondering if anybody has though about doing this or has already dont this. 1 1/2 80lb bags would probbaly be what yo uwould need for a moderately sized enclsorue plus reed bar and that wire stuff...so all in all your moderately sized enc…

Hey guys it's been a while since I've last been on here, but since then I've decided to see if I could could sell my system. I have a friend interested and he wants to know a price. I told him I would think about it and get back with him. Now my question for you guys is what would you consider a reasonable selling price for my system.
