Hey, I've got a fella that lives a few hours away that wants me to build a box for his 03 Ford ZX2, However I don't have anyway to measure out the trunk and to get him to understand and tell me the correct dimensions isn't gonna happen... (no common sense at all....) So does anyone have a ZX2 or happen to know the dimensions of the trunk I'm thinking 32x14x18 W x H x D rear firing a pair of 12's roughly 3 cubes 30 hz.... after dis

Whats involved in doing a MDF roof? My headliner is shot, and i don't want to spend 350 for a replacement headliner. I think it would be nice cause I could make a console for the roof to mount stuff..

  16. I have been waiting for quite some time to finally arrive at the point on what setup I will be using. I was considering 3 IA DP21's or 4 Jbl W15Gti. The amp I am using will be the stetsom 7KD. If I were to go with the DP's it would be in a 24-26cube enclosure at 28hz. The Jbl's would be in a 20cube enclosure at 28hz. I cannot find a DP t/s parameters to factor into the equation. I at least wanted to use the DP15 subwoofer to compare in WinIsd Pro. What do you guys think? If anyone has any t/s parameters on the DP's let me know.

My alt arrived today and it's installed! Now I need to upgrade my wires, I am stuck on KnuKoncepts but am interested in Stingers 3/0. In the long run Stinger 3/0 is actually less than 3*1 of the KK for obvious reasons, and KK doesn't offer any 3/0. I hear that the Kolossus cable is almost 2/0. I plan to get 2 more 250 alts, so am thinking about the multiple run issue. I am now stuck on deciding if I want to go with Kolossus Flex or KLM. KLM is smaller, but it's a bit cheaper when purchasing the amp kit, and they don't offer any amp kits with Kolossus. What would everyone else do? Go for the Stinger 3/0, multiple runs of the Kolossus Flex, or multiple runs of th…

Really haven't been on here much, so i'm even more out of the loop than i was. I planned on waiting till next spring (after cross country and wrestling) to do more with my audio, but i can't wait. To start off, i really don't know a whole lot about speakers or tweeters, but i want something with good quality and good price, and from the looks of it, the Mach5 MLI-65 is great for the money. I'd also need some tweeters, and when i searched, most people recommended SEAs tweeters to compliment the mli. Does that sound good, what model of the tweeters, and are there any other suggestions? I was thinking a 100x2 amp for the mli's (sundown, maybe), and just power the tweets from…

I'm looking for low weight, basically. Rigidity isn't a huge concern because my box will only be 1 cube and in an L-shape, so all the corners and small panel sizes should make it pretty stiff regardless. I may also add a second baffle on front to countersink the sub. Birch is getting up over 60 dollars a sheet, though (5' x 5'). MDF weighs twice as much and half the price. Is there anything else readily available at most lumber yards that would do the job for less?

My amp's been kicking into protect for no known reason, I've checked every possible connection and wire, and undervoltage is impossible, this is an Atomic 800.1 with a Battcap 2000 in the trunk of my car. I put in a tone cd playing 60hz, put a DMM on the 200 AC voltage setting, touched + and - respectively on the amp outputs then turned the HU up until the amp shut down and we're reading 8.4 volts before shutdown 8.4 x 8.4 = 70 watts am I correct or have I completely lost it? Please don't just jump on me for using a DMM, I know it's not the best way, it's just the most accessible way for me to find wtf is going on.
