Hey, I just bought a whole bunch of twisted speaker wire for my install. 8-16AWG http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.c...Speaker%20Kable I have no idea how I splice it to be able to attach female disconnects or screw the individual wire into adapters.

When is it, where is it, and how much is to get in.

ok im buyin a 2003 audiobahn immortal 18 from my friend for really cheap, i know they are by far the best but i need something for my crappy truck for a little while, but i was wondering how much i should put on it, i know he had a 4000 watt legacy (crap) but it hit pretty hard, does anyone know how much they actually put out, and if anyone knows how much can i actually put on it, i read they are 2250 rms and 4000 peak, but i want to push it to its max

Whats involved in doing a MDF roof? My headliner is shot, and i don't want to spend 350 for a replacement headliner. I think it would be nice cause I could make a console for the roof to mount stuff..

Got stuck with another moonroof when I got my new truck(2001 blazer) wondering if anyone else has had any problems with the roof after having bass for awhile, ie not opening/ closing or no longer making a seal? I had one in my old car and it wasn't the same when I got rid of it as when I got it but figured that's jsut because it was a piece of chit Saturn.

Okay, i basically have 2 questions here. The first question is about my factory stereo and connecting an amp in a 2008 Honda Accord. I'm not sure but i'm hoping someone on these forums know if i can connect the amp directly to the stereo itself, or will i need a product such as JL Audio CleanSweep adapter to connect the amp to and then run that to the back of the deck? I know it would be easier to get a whole new deck but that isnt an option right now. My second question is that this car does not come in with an ipod input! it does come with an auxiliary input but i would like to control the ipod straight from the dash and not hassle around with the ipod. I am not new to car audio but I am new to the methods,formulas, and all. I only knew how to do what the manual said when you get you sub or amp. I am learning and enjoying the chit out of it. My amp's been kicking into protect for no known reason, I've checked every possible connection and wire, and undervoltage is impossible, this is an Atomic 800.1 with a Battcap 2000 in the trunk of my car. I put in a tone cd playing 60hz, put a DMM on the 200 AC voltage setting, touched + and - respectively on the amp outputs then turned the HU up until the amp shut down and we're reading 8.4 volts before shutdown 8.4 x 8.4 = 70 watts am I correct or have I completely lost it? Please don't just jump on me for using a DMM, I know it's not the best way, it's just the most accessible way for me to find wtf is going on.

so heres the deal. 2 SSAicon 12's . 2 Phoenix Gold V1502's. i'm not 100% sure but it seems like a 1.5 (i think) 2 12 sealed box. the amount of power the SSA's are amazing. anyways so i have a 98 malibu (folding back seats) right now i have the subs facing the back. i'm sick of having the box sliding around and afraid of damage so i'm going to put some L brackets to brace it. but first should i have the subs facing the back or should they be facing the front?

Quick shirt trick, then a video showing some stuff blow around. I finished deadening my doors and had a ton of little pieces of paper in my car from the deadener so I figured Id turn it up and make a video. Yes I know its dark. Oh well. The second song sucks, It was just some song on the radio. The first video would be better but I was trying to hold the deck, control the volume, and shoot a video. So I decided Id just turn on the radio and shoot a video with whatever song was on.

i got an ext cab s10 got rid of the blazer and i got an atomic 5000.1 and im thinking eith 2 btl 18's 2 auqioque 18's or 4 q 15's sealed.want something thats gonna move some air and slam pretty good with 5000 watts what would you do?

as a hardcore SQ guy I wanna try some new things for the next show. I want to be able to black all the windows out(pyscho-acustics) so the judges can't locate any of the drivers....I don't want it to look bad(towels and such) any ideas? I do wanna keep it as cheap as I can too but totally black the car out.

hi, I'm using the online port calculator at RE Audio to calculate the port dimensions. However, if i want to use two subs in a shared air space, how do i calculate the port dimensions for a shared port on the two subs? or it does not matter since the port dimensions will depend on the box volume only.

can you just add an optima to your current system wired parallel. you would still just get 12v. or 13 whatever. but it said charging a deep cycle bat is a whole different thing. an it would just fry your alt. high output or not??? help please thanks again

Hi, anyone who experienced these symptoms? * speakers are 6.5in. woofer and 1 inch tweeter, sometimes the left woofer stops playing while the tweeter is good. They're properly wired in their crossover. The woofer comes back whenever I adjust the volume at high level. * At high volume level, it sounds like you're playing the wire connection of the woofer, it's on..and it's off.. and on. * There are instances that the right woofer has the same problems too. * And sometimes the tweeter on the left channel stops too I already checked every connection and they're properly terminated. What could be the problem here? separates are RE XXX6.5c amp is Sundown SAX100.2 Help

I was thinking of putting up a wall in the 944 for that massive dmx12 stage 2 i just had some one tell me that if you make a wall in your car you can get pulled over because you cant see out the back window is this true? my other question is, is there a class in comps were u can use a single 12 and if so what is the avg DB that people hit at say 50-60hz and what is the world record with a single 12. Was thinking sub in the middle and 2 6 inch aero ports on the sides next to it. never done a wall but would like to give it a go and maybe get into some comps.
