What all are you guys using? I'm looking for a decent alarm. Nothing too expensive. Vehicle doesn't have power doors/windows, so don't need something too special. I really, really don't like dealing with alarms. I detest alarms. Glass breaking sensors are good ... and I don't mind if it chirps if someone bumps into it.

How can i measure the amps my alternator puts out?

i got a 1998 blazer and i need some help.im gonna have between 3500-4000 rms will will a 220 amp alternator 105 idle 220 at 1200rpm and 3 1400 kinetiks in the back be enough.and what does your blazer peak at? im looking at running 2 3518's (moving some air) i already got 1 1400 and an fi btl im selling income tax im getting a colossus and an alternator

i did some repair work on a truck, the guy had it installed a few years back at a place in austin that went out of biz after year and years of serving the austin tx area, anyhow.. they had a rope, that went from the highs amp, up the head unit.. so that you could just tap into the factory door speaker wires from the harness, inside was of course 2 puple 2 white 2 green 2 grey. and a remote wire blue, all inside one rope the size of 0 gauge, i wish i would have remembed the name of the company planly printed on the can casing, but i dont, has anyone ever seen this ? and ya know where i can get a bunch? thanks,

I have 2 12" 2xl's and a Powerbass XA-1500d in a sealed enclosure ( getting a bigger box i think its 2 small). Its sounds pretty damn good overall clean tight bass. I had a slight issue with the bass boost being as high as the gain (at half) and the amp going into protect but other than that no issues and everthing sounds good. As soon as I get my other box I'll post a vid.

I have a good offer on one of these. It seems to be a good amp but im not sure. To be honest i have never heard of it before. My set up is going to be only 1 Dual 1 ohm Fully loaded Fi BTL 18". My problem is i bought the Dual 1 option because i thought that i may get another in the future and with that i could have them wired at 1 ohm and be able to find a amp for a bit cheaper to give them power. what i didnt think of was the amp i was going to use in the time being... i need the minimum of 2000rms at either 0.5 ohm or 2 ohms and this amp does 2000 at the 2 ohms... need some help on some 6x9's. i have alpine sps-600 in the front doors so i was going to match them with the alpine sps-609 but then i saw the spr-69c is not much more money. should i get sps-609 or the spr-69c with no amp?

I saw a Alping IVA-W205 for $415 locally and It includes the wiring harness, Ipod cable,box,all manuals,DVD while you drive relay and two remotes. It was supposedly only used for a month. I have been looking at getting a new HU for my next setup when I get a new car and was wondering what you guys think of this double din touch screen or if I should just stick with a single din that would be cheaper? My goals are just to get good SQ from the HU and I want blue-tooth, so any other options would basically be a bonus. I will be doing the big 3, amping front stage speakers and then have a sub in the back.

Hello all, Set up: IVA-W205 with Blackbird 2 docked: Problem 1: Alpine unit sees Ipod and plays and displays info but absolutely no audio, can't hear a thing. Sirius, CD changer, DVD all work correctly. Problem 2: With Blackbird docked and using bluetooth, caller can hear me but I can't hear them. INT settings all correct per Alpine. I sent the unit into Alpine and was told there was nothing wrong and everything checked out. Am I missing something??? Thanks in advance!

My friend was looking at simply buying one of these in order to recieve "more" power to his speakers. He has a 4 channel Polk Audio amp in the back, that is running a 12 bridged off of two channels, and the other 2 channels are hooked onto some random 6x9's he has. The amp is 800 watts x 4 channels at 4 ohms. I told him, that I have a amp he could buy for the sub itself, and use the amp for his front and rear stages. He has a H/O Alt on a 1988 Camaro with a red-top ultima battery. Do you think it would be worth spending about a hundred and twenty dollars to buy this "power brick"? Ok so i'm at a crossroads. I have a bit of a problem. I want a system that consists of all the same stuff if i go with a company like pioneer or alpine. That or i'll mitch match a bunch of stuff. BUT i have a deck. CDA-9887. Its pretty cool. Originally i wanted a DEH-P880PRS, but couldn't get ahold of one for the right price. Now I have a friend who also runs a car stereo shop. He is currently sitting on 3 880PRS decks and needs to get rid of them. I think i can pick one up for myself for about 250. So do i Buy one and sell my 9887 and go all pioneer. well i just got the Alpine 9831 body wiring and all, except for the FACEplate, i powered it up with a regulator i have and the hear the cd player try to scran like noremal but i was wondering if it would come on with my 9815 face? or do i have to wiat and get the 9831 face?

Well my dumb ass forgot to lock my car at school and someone stole my frigging tweeters. Luckily they didn't get into the trunk (I have my trunk release disabled) or doors, and I always take my HU faceplate with me. After looking around online I don't think that I want to pay $200 for the Alpine tweeters. I have read that the are most likely Vifa ring radiator tweeters. I want something that I can drop in their place for hopefully less than what the Alpine tweeters are. The location of the tweeter is at the top of my door panel all of the way up front. I was happy with this location withe the Alpine tweeters. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

My alt arrived today and it's installed! Now I need to upgrade my wires, I am stuck on KnuKoncepts but am interested in Stingers 3/0. In the long run Stinger 3/0 is actually less than 3*1 of the KK for obvious reasons, and KK doesn't offer any 3/0. I hear that the Kolossus cable is almost 2/0. I plan to get 2 more 250 alts, so am thinking about the multiple run issue. I am now stuck on deciding if I want to go with Kolossus Flex or KLM. KLM is smaller, but it's a bit cheaper when purchasing the amp kit, and they don't offer any amp kits with Kolossus. What would everyone else do? I need help on chosing an alternator 4 an 04 monte carlo...I want something that does as much as possible at idle. I've considered many different brands. Pretty much have it narrowed down to Ohiogen, Power Master, or gettin an Iraggi Alternator. Recommendations??? and how would I get a hold of Iraggi for a price quote. Thanks, Brock
