Hey well I was wondering if someone could design a box for 2 12" Mmats P2.5 its not for me but a friend and he keeps insisting on buying a prefab box or just having the guy build him one but the audio shops here suck ballz so I was just going to give my friend the design to take to the guy to build you know? Anyway Could you tune it to around 35-40hz or what ever you think would sound good with these subs? Im just tryin to help my friend not get ripped on a prefab.... Thanks!!! Someone wants to trade me a 1990 240SX for my truck. Was wondering if anyone has really messed around with the audio in one. Curious if its easy to get it to sound good or loud, and how easy or hard it is to take the interior apart for sound dampening. Also, how much room is there? I wouldnt need the rear bench seat, so it could be folded down or taken out all together. Its a fastback hatch, not the coupe. Is it easy or cheap to get a hold of high output alts for them? If I would get it, my SA-10s would be going in it. Possibly add a couple more, or sell them and get 15s. It would be my toy vehicle, so Id be looking for loud, not SQ.

So I ordered 25 sqft and I have about 10sqft left.. I did some of the trunk floor, the trunk lid, the top of my back deck and the bottom of the back deck(that's where the rattling/buzzing was coming from.) It sounds pooploads better but where would be a good place to put the rest? I'm thinking doors since I'm putting a comp set in?

Ok guys I have a question, currently I'm working on my car I'm about to install my new Audio system which consist of 4x RE SX 12" d4 in a 6.8- 7.2 ft^3 enclosure tuned at 34hz powered by 2x US Amps MD-3D and for vocals I have 4x Sets of the RE 6.5 Comps thus a total of 8x RE 6.5 Speakers powered by 2x MD-21 and 4x subs. Now I was wondering since I'm modifying i could put 2x more sets(4x more RE 6.5 speakers) and 1x more MD-21, thus a total of 12x RE 6.5 Speakers for the 4x RE SX12", my car is more for Demo purpose and Carshow thus I want it to be loud Inside and also loud outside it's not a every day drive car, so should 12x RE 6.5 be good or to much for the RE Sx's, or …

I was wondering what would sound louder?. One Fi bl 15 tuned to 32 hz in a 3.1 cu box firing upwards in the back of a trunk. Or 2 SA 10's in walled off trunk? And if i was to go with the 2 10's, would it be better to seal off the trunk and have the subs firing towards the front of the car, or would it be louder to wall off the trunk having a port and the subs facing the front of the car?

So just got out of my car. Recently just installed my powermaster battery and finally had my sub turned back on. As i was driving my front left tweeter started to just sing static. The words from the song sounded like a DJ was trying to scratch it for real. I have a pioneer 9800 headunit and was thinking maybe my preouts went bc i heard that was a problem. I havent checked the main connections like amp output or even the headunits preouts yet. I will tmw in the morning. Just curious what people think. Thanks

Ok so I hooked up some LED's in my sub box. These: http://www.superbrightleds.com/specs/alm.htm (The 4 bulb ones) I hooked them up twice and they worked both times. One w/ the switch and one w/o the switch. I didn't change ANYTHING and the next day I go to hook them up after putting my sub in the box, and they don't work. Try everything, but they do not work at all. Even tried hooking them directly up to the battery (no bad connections). I think the lights are dead... I guess. My question is, did my problem come from not having the 1 amp fuse they recommend? I mean that would only blow if something bad happened, and I do not understand why the lights would die so easily…

Okay, I've found myself lately to be more keen on the particular sound of paper cone drivers. I am wondering if anyone else feels this way or differently. Is it perhaps just the better driver or application, or does cone material in woofers/midbass/midrange have a noticable affect on the sound? It's clearly evident in a lot of tweeters between metal/soft domes or otherwise, but how do people feel on the woofer side? I'd appreciate any knowledgeable on the subject who could give some insights on which materials may have better sonic characteristics.

hi, I'm using the online port calculator at RE Audio to calculate the port dimensions. However, if i want to use two subs in a shared air space, how do i calculate the port dimensions for a shared port on the two subs? or it does not matter since the port dimensions will depend on the box volume only.

Well I am slowly trying to improve the sound in my 2001 bmw 325i and I think I know the answer but I'm not completely sure. Currently I only have one amp which is powering my subs and then there is the factory amp thats connected to all the factory locations. Since my battery is in the trunk I have a big fuse holder about 1ft away from the battery then it runs to the amp. Today I should be getting some of those PG rds components and when I finally by some sound deadening I will be installing a 4ch amp to run those speakers. In the past I used a fused distribution block as well as the single fuse holder by the battery, but this was in a camry. I was wondering if I wo…
