I'm looking for a very basic usb scope to plug to my laptop, perhaps with X10 or X100 shunts. id be using it for basic clipping testing on RCA up to maybe 1000w amps. I'm looking for sub 100.00 price range, this thing does not need to be fancy at all. anyone have any suggestions?

i feel like i should say something nice about this company. i blew 1 of there 55001d amps and they took it back no problems sent me a brand new one (just had to pay shipping both ways). so 2 days ago i ended up blowing one of there 1600/4 amps. just called tech support to make sure what the alternating power/protect light ment. (it means its "toast"). the tech support was amazingly friendly and directed me to RA where they gave me a RA # no problem or saying that it was installer error. (which it was not). if it was not for their korean made cheapness i would HIGHLY recommend them. needless to say i'm still going to end up getting all sundown amps.

I'm putting my first system together one piece at a time. I first picked up my Pioneer 8600 at the beginning of the year and installed it into my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT. Now I'm moving to the subwoofers and amp. I mainly have two possibilities: (2) Two 12" RE SEs--- powered by an Orion 1200d OR (1) One 12" RE SX--- powered by an Orion 1200d I will more than likely port it either way, I am just wanting the one that will sound better and have an overall LSQ. I've asked this question to numerous people and I've got many many different answers, if you have an other suggestions, please spit them out. I want to keep it around this price range. Thanks, Kyle

Right now everything factory the can does not do Dolby Digital 5.1 even though it does have a single center speaker located on the dash board. I am wondering if this set up will work or will i need a Sound Processor still. I am looking at a Dual XDVD8265 here is the product manual. http://www.dualav.com/support/manuals/xdvd8265.pdf And i am looking at this Amp to power the 5 channels. http://images.techronics.com/pictures.cfm?sku=ALP-MRAF350 I am unsure of how to connect that 5 channel amp to the head unit as there are not 5 RCA outs on the amp. I have a pair of Kicker Comp VX with a separate mono block amp for th…

Hey there everybody im new to the site so forgive me if i placed this in the wrong area but im trying to decide what configuration would be the best of both worlds as far as sounding good and being loud in a 91 civic hatch behind the back seats. I plan on running 1 12" sub. Should i have the sub and port forward, up, or back, or should i have a combo of the above port up and sub forward or back or any other variation of the above options? Any input would be great thanks im wanting to go ahead and build my box as i let my pocket recoup from the holidays as its fairly cheap to do. lol I'm just not sure what would be best for my civic.

Ok since everyone has their own songs they listen to and listen for certain things, why don't we all contribute so i can have a collection of good test cds. What i can think of so far from watching you guys is... Nina Simone - Feelin Good -but you all have a different version Eagles - Hotel California -this was for the kicks at the beginning of the song, right? Dire Straits - Money for Nothin' -for the switching between channels at the very beginning of the song Now i need more, and need to know what to listen for. I need something with quick bass that isn't heavy metal, is that so much to ask for? How about a song with good lows that isn't rap? Some songs that i …

Currently I drive a 00 Sunfire with no sound deadening, crappy walmart Sony Xlpodes for components, stock HU, and chitty duals. I did build my own box for the duals and they sound a lot better than they did in the box they came in, but my system still sucks. I'm limited on cash being a college student and all, but I don't want to skimp on stuff just because. I'd rather save up for something nice if I have to. Also, I SQ is my main concern. I mostly listen to rap and would really like to enjoy my music, and with thoughts of getting an in-dash DVD unit, that's something to think about too. I also want to be really loud as well though... for those times you just feel like sh…

I was searching the topics around here looking for glassing the interior of a sub box, and didn't find too much. My question is. My sub calls for 1 inch MDF but my installer says he will use 3/4 and glass the inside to "keep the weight down". Do I have anything to worry about as far as flexing and structual integrity? I want to do a sealed enclosure about 1.6cu.ft. Are there any other suggestins for a sealed box? I want to do it right the first time as my funds are a lil limited. Hey thanx guys!!

My buddies and I were messing around with some of our equipment today and it sounds like there's no difference in output. My friend has a Rockford t1 15 d2 wired to one ohm on a sundown saz1000. Box is 3.0 cubic ft tuned 32-34hz in the back of a 02 Ford explorer. That thing bumps! Very loud and powerful. So I wanted to try the amp on my setup and my other friend wired his sax 125.2 to the t1 bridged at 4 ohms getting 400 watts. Tuned it and they sound virtually the same??? We all were thinking something is wrong with his saz1000 but could there be no audible difference between the two amps? Same song and volume same setup just swapped amps. We're thinking something is wr…

Hello, I decided to make a thread that will list any useful links that I may have come across and would like to share, it can be a place for all useful and audio related links that other members may find helpful and useful. So please add, the more the better. I would like to stick to some kind of standard format though so that it may be easy for other members to know what your posting, as well as a brief comment or description. I will edit this as much as possible. http://www.zaphaudio.com/6.5test/ - Link for a variety of 6.5" door speakers with a brief summary. http://www.mfk-proje...easurements.htm - Testing for various woofers/speakers http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ …

Ok so heres the canvas for the the build. 2007 honda fit base. um it has a 75 amp alt. Guess thats about all the info i have. The only limitations are basically the car and the electronics. I don't really want to upgrade the alt. Not looking to void any warranties either. I don't mind putting a battery in the back. Doesn't matter if the box is sealed or ported. Oh and i won't use anything bigger than a 12" or ONE 13" woofer e.g. a focal or JL W7. The object of the build is "LESS IS MORE" be that woofer size, amount of woofers, or amp size. Don't really care about the size of the box. I do want to retain the use of my back seat so everything has to go in the b…

Well, as if two SP4 18's isnt big enough, lol After doing measurements I have enough room for 3, so I just ordered another one. So now I have time to build a new enclosure and not have any down time which is cool. I ordered another Dual 1ohm. So now becomes the question of amp and ohm load choice. After looking at my wiring options I think it will work perfect. For at least a couple months I need to run all three off this one Crescendo BC5500. Which I actually think will be ok for now and get loud. Three dual 1's will wire to a .67ohm load which I think that will be fine if I'm thinking correctly and hopefully put out close to 2000 watts per sub. My electrical is very sta…

So far I have: Hyundai Accent GT: gutted, stuffed with 65 cans of expanding foam, 14 gallons of bondo that need removed from the windows and redone by welding sheetmetal instead. 320lbs of 3/4"mdf for the false floor, ceiling, doors, roof, dashboard, and subwoofer chamber/wall. I had 5 1gallon buckets of Spectrum Firewall...sold 2, trying to sell the rest, and a 5 gallon bucket of Spectrum Sludge...trying to sell that too. 6 Optima Red tops...getting 2 more. An Audio Control 6Xs, getting a second one when i get the crossovers so I have 2 bandpassed signals and 1 HP, all at 24dB/oct, then using deck/sub amps to cross the subs. 2 Vifa XT25TG30 Ring Radiator Tweets, a KX200.…
