Ok, my dumb ass can't figure this out. I have a pair of dual 4 ohm 12's. If I wire each sub in series to make 8 ohms then wire the 2 subs together to get 4 ohms, would that mean a pair of strapped 1500d's will see 2 ohms each? Thanks for any input!

on how much a system would cost if i was going to run 2 15'' fully loaded btl, 2 saz-3000d, box, and electrical components? this might be for a future system by next fall im just wondering on how much a ball park estimate the cost would be

I saw a Alping IVA-W205 for $415 locally and It includes the wiring harness, Ipod cable,box,all manuals,DVD while you drive relay and two remotes. It was supposedly only used for a month. I have been looking at getting a new HU for my next setup when I get a new car and was wondering what you guys think of this double din touch screen or if I should just stick with a single din that would be cheaper? My goals are just to get good SQ from the HU and I want blue-tooth, so any other options would basically be a bonus. I will be doing the big 3, amping front stage speakers and then have a sub in the back.

For all of you that make your own RCA's, which ends do you use and where do you get them? I'm going optical from my IVA-D310 to my PXA-H701 and rca's from there so they really dont need to be long TechFlex, how do you know what size you need to use? Please give me examples i.e. 1/0 needs 1", 3 runs of 12AWG speaker wire need 5/8" etc And what ratio heat shrink should I use for the TechFlex as well Thanks

hey i jus got 2 alpine type r's with a kicker zx1000 amp installed in my 2001 toyota avalon. I was just wondering how long it will take to break them in? Like i dont think i should blast them right away, but how long should i wait until i can use them to their full potential? thanks

Iv looked at home depot for 6" pvc tubing and i could only find 4"... i need 2 6" ports in my new box and its not very easy to find this tubing... i was hoping it would be cheap... but idkk now that it seems i can only buy 10' sections...

would the saz3500 be to little power for 2 fully loade fibtl 15 inch woofers?I know the saz4500 would be better but by the time im ready to purchase the price is gonna jump..

Ok guys i need major help on a box design i am getting a SSA Xcon 15 and i am going to need to fit it into a single cab truck i talked to Aaron and he said the mounting depth of the sub is 8 and 3 4ths deep and my seats move separately so i can build a custom box. what do you guys think i should do. just push the passenger seat up a bit and run a box all the way across at a different depth so my seat could stay where it is what do you guys think i need some ideas please. I'm running into quite a few money issues and the process is sadly being delayed for me which really sucks for now I just have 2 12" kicker CVR's doing around a weak 115 in a sealed box.. I heard MANY great things about ported boxes and want to try to build one but I'm just 17 and never done this before and I figure now is a great time to learn. I went to www.homedepot.com to try and find some 3/4th" MDF wood as someone on here told me to do but was unable to find any as far as the -online site- goes. ive given up trying to fit my 18btl into my 86 monte. i would either have to fire into the trunk(eww) or lose all of my trunk. so im thinking about switching to 2 ssd 15's which will let me keep about 8 cubes of trunk space. the ssd's should be better for sq but still get down and play hard. i was going to feed the fair a clean 2000 watts at 1 ohm. should i get them loaded or just leave them stock. if i get them loaded can they take more power. (daily)

as some of you know i was hit by a drunk driver a few months ago and now my settlement is almost over and im almost ready to start a build log when i recieve my money i want to keep my budget around the upper 5 thousand range it can go over some if i need to but i want to go 2 18s i was thinking two team fi 18s and a cresendo 5500 at .5 ohm or should i just get the sp4s or zv4s my goals are too tune around 32htz range i have a toyota tacoma double cab and im going to take the back seats out and wall it off so ill have around 10-14 sq ft in air space so ill be good on air space on any of these im pretty set on the cresendo 5500 so something i can run off of it and my eletr…

I built 2 boxes lately and I will be doing a 3rd soon, and I love buying tools so I "need" a router. I dont want to spend an arm and a leg, but I will spend what is required to have a decent setup(not harbor freight). I want to be able to do speaker hole cut outs with it, round the edges of the box and ports, and anything else that is usefull. Im not sure what bits I would need either, I was thinking 3 one to make cut outs, one for rounded edges, and one to flush mount on a double baffle. Also I think I need the jasper circle jig unless there is a better/cheaper alternative.

I have 5.38 cubes after displacements other than port. My tuning is 32hz. I have an 8'' port going 12.75'' in the box, 12.75'' is my limit because I want 8'' of clearance from the bottom of port to bottom of box. Anyways, I have 12.75'' in and I have 7.8'' out of the box for a total of about 20.6'' of port. The port inside the box takes up .38 cubes so that leaves me with 5^3 inside the box after displacements. I think I have too much port length on the outside of the box, but I can still cut the port down. Any idea on what it should be?

A few weeks ago, I noticed my sub randomly get quiet and loud back and forth ONLY while driving. When I'm at a red light or stopped for any reason, it plays a lot quieter than it should be (literally half the volume that it is when it's loud). When I accelerate, it goes back to normal temporarily. For a few days, it did the opposite. When I braked, it got loud, and when I accelerated it got quiet. This has been driving my crazy. I checked my wire connections at my amp and they were fine. I had autozone check my battery and alternator and they were good. I even checked the voltage myself on my battery and it was fine. I was adding some Second Skin Audio Damplifier I bought to the rear wall of my cab and was wondering if I should/can put some Damplifier over the vents?, There is a bunch of road noise coming from those vents (1 Behing Passener & 1 Behind Driver Seat).
