Alrite so i got the measurements for the box that I am going to be building for my 2 18" Fi BL's they are 38.5" wide, 22" tall and 31" long. The port size will be 13.5in wide and 12in deep and 9in tall tuned to 35hz. Do you guys think those are good measurements ?

Well, so now comes time to hurry up and get some bump in the Cutty before I leave. I've had my mind on some L7s for quite some time and with the recent Ebay explosion on great prices they are pretty hard to pass up. I'm thinking a trio of 12 will do nicely and I'll come in at just under $400 after shipping. Midbass is handled. I have a nice pair of RMB8s just awaiting a good home. Now on to HU, amplification and midrange, tweeters. Here I'm at a loss. Would like to get a nice cheap MP3 compatible HU; amps, who knows. Subs will be handled by a class D for current concerns, but is 1.5K feasible for $250-$300? And what about midrange/tweeter combos? I'm at a loss…

Since I got back into car audio I have stayed away from the so called "Mainstream" brands when it came to my amplifiers and subwoofers. What sold me on the smaller companies was the customer service and the ability to talk to the owner/owners either through the forums, email or direct phone call. I think we all know what forum all these great companies are a part of.... :bigclap: What are the horror stories you have had with companies with poor customer service?

Do you guys think that a 200a Idle and 260a Max( Ohio Gen) will be enough for 2x USAmps MD-3D and 2x USAmps MD21? and for batteries 1x Power Master D5100R in the front and 2x Power Master D3100 in the back, that's the biggest Ohio can make in the GM Large case CS-144 Alt. so what do you guys think, will it be enough? I was thinkin, would i need to build something like a funnel around the box of my subs leading up to the cuthrough in my truck to make optimal use of output from my subs......or would it be okay to just put the box few inches back from the wall of the truck?

Well I got a design for the box I want and I am having a shop build it today. This is it. 17"H x 42"W x 24"D, 8.174^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 15.5" x 5" x 15.92"Long@37Hz. After all displacement, 7.048^3ft net What do I need to change the port to too get a tuning of 35hz?

Looks to be a cool little unit. Appears you can, via a laptop, adjust power through out the passband to limit over excursion.

so i finally decided the Q isn't quiet enough for me now a days. i need something bigger. so i just have some questions for you guys.. right now i have a 12" Q powered by a SAE 1000D. i am debating whether to get 1 15" or 2 12"s. i'm looking for which ever has the better output. now obviously the best out put would be out of two 12"s. but money is pretty tight, and i don't want to upgrade all my electrical if i don't have too. i was thinking about just getting 1 12" for now, selling my Q, and running 1 12" off my SAE. how will that sound? will ~1200w make the BTL happy? Basically need an article that supply and demand and shows what happens to profit and make graphs, and the teacher said to choose a topic I like. So, it would be awesome if there's some article showing JL, SI, Kicker or whatever showing more profit because of an introduction of a new sub, or anything audio related. so im getting a brand new rf power hx2 15 thats been sitting since it was bought because the guy bought 2 of them years ago and only used one. i also found a hifonics bxi2010 bnib never been hooked up for $180....i want the hifonics but the guy with the sub has a power acoustik bamf 5500 which should i get? and im thinkin of taking my backseat out and walling between the cab and trunk. now the question about that is should i go sealed or ported? im looking more towards spl then sq any advice will be very appreciated. im taking my time putting this setup in so its done right and not just thrown together like my last one

I have 5.38 cubes after displacements other than port. My tuning is 32hz. I have an 8'' port going 12.75'' in the box, 12.75'' is my limit because I want 8'' of clearance from the bottom of port to bottom of box. Anyways, I have 12.75'' in and I have 7.8'' out of the box for a total of about 20.6'' of port. The port inside the box takes up .38 cubes so that leaves me with 5^3 inside the box after displacements. I think I have too much port length on the outside of the box, but I can still cut the port down. Any idea on what it should be?

What is a normal tuning hertz? Im not sure what i should tune my box for? any suggestions for 1 12" sub.

ok heres the scenario say you have 3 subs that each take 1500 watts and you have 2 choices eiter buy 3 amps that put out 1500watts each or 2 amps 1 that does 1500 watts and the other does 3000 watts..would there be anything retarded about option 2 with the 2 amps?

I was thinking of putting up a wall in the 944 for that massive dmx12 stage 2 i just had some one tell me that if you make a wall in your car you can get pulled over because you cant see out the back window is this true? my other question is, is there a class in comps were u can use a single 12 and if so what is the avg DB that people hit at say 50-60hz and what is the world record with a single 12. Was thinking sub in the middle and 2 6 inch aero ports on the sides next to it. never done a wall but would like to give it a go and maybe get into some comps.

im going to start off by saying this site is great! Back in the day i use to dump all my money on exspensive wheels,but after seeing and hearing some amazing systems and watching some of the build logs you guys have done it made me wanna get one of my own i am now hooked lol.Anyways my question is if i ran the saz3500 and 2 xcon 15 would a HO alt and one big kinetic battery work?at first i wanted to do the saz2000 but then seen you have to upgrade that two so decided to go a little bigger..Next question is if the one battery and HO alt is enough does any one know ball park rice on that?

Ok so I understand what an RTA is and all that jazz. I googled for an RTA program to purchase and came up with a lot of sites that sell programs. My question is, what's some good programs you guys have used/had experience with that you could recommend me. Or are they pretty much all the same with few minor tweaks here and there.

I am going to be installing a factory batter in the trunk. I have three choices for Tray's. I'm not really sure what the difference is or which one I should get.
