Best friend wants to upgrade his system on his 1999 Jeep Cherokee. $1000 Budget for front comps, subwoofer and box, big 3, door sound deadening, 2 channel, and mono amp. Currently has a headunit. Older alpine not exactly sure right now but i will find out. Not sure if it could run active and i know he wants to keep it simple. Loves House music and also listens to Rap and Rock. Currently he has 2 front and 2 rear alpine type s coaxials running off a headunit with a kenwood mono amp and an alpine type r - a real best buy type of system. So any pair of components off a 2 channel amp would be satisfying to him. I'm pretty sure we are going to have to keep it passive.…

Someone wants to trade me a 1990 240SX for my truck. Was wondering if anyone has really messed around with the audio in one. Curious if its easy to get it to sound good or loud, and how easy or hard it is to take the interior apart for sound dampening. Also, how much room is there? I wouldnt need the rear bench seat, so it could be folded down or taken out all together. Its a fastback hatch, not the coupe. Is it easy or cheap to get a hold of high output alts for them? If I would get it, my SA-10s would be going in it. Possibly add a couple more, or sell them and get 15s. It would be my toy vehicle, so Id be looking for loud, not SQ.

I'm looking for something for my rears in my apartment. I want something that curves up over my couch to shoot down. I don't want to mount anything to the walls because then I have nasty wires. Remember the Best Buy Bose demo with those curved ones in the rear? Something like that would be schweet. PE doesn't have anything like that and ebay is being coy.

Ive got an ssa xocn 15d2 run off of a sundown saz1500d. It was working fine for about a month and then all of a sudden it stopped playing, I turned my truck on one day and nothing. Then about a few days later it started playing this weird static and soon was working fine again. But as of 3 days ago its not working and playing the static again. Ive replaced the rcs and the headunit and its still not working. I have no idia what to do now any ideas??? Here's a vid of the sound its making .

This is a newb question. Can I put an 8 inch sub with an amp in a 2002 VW Passat and still keep the factory deck? Friend doesnt want to change stock deck. Probably a stupid question but I wondered how difficult this would be to install if this was possible. Thanks

I have a 07 BMW X5 and I just bought a 15" Soundqubed subwoofer and a x14 brutus hifonics 1500 watt amp I want to wire to 1ohms, and im doing it also to my stock head unit. My battery is in my trunk so I don't have to wire a lot to the front of the car. Also wiring with 4 gauge. I was wondering what would the dimensions be for my box? length, depth width? volume? what could my sub displacement be? and my port displacement? Iis a 72 Cutlass, so along with the comps and sub I plan on adding some sound deadinig. I recently came across a Punch 600a5 for a reasonable price so I scooped it up. I thought about doing a sub on the single channel and the comps on the other 4. I guess I'm wondering what the opinions are on the use of 5 channel amps vs. 4ch and a mono? dont bash this idea to hard but id like to hear some thoughts on it. alittle info: dad drives a 03 f150 and his equipment right now is a Panasonic hu, polk db 5.25" coax upfront and a cheapy clarion sub (4ohm svc) in a box behind the center console in the backseat and a 2 channel amp that is bridged to the sub. amp is a walmart sony xplod... so we're talking maybe 150x2 @ 4 ohms (probably less). my idea: make him a tri way crossover... When running a 16 volt system for my amps, do I have to get a special 16 alternator or do I just put a high output alternator on 16 volt batteries. Also do any of you guys know if the kicker 1500.1's can handle 16 volts?
