So, i was driving down the road today with the subs playing, not quite at full tilt but pretty loud and all of a sudden a rattle starting coming from the box, and a lack of volume did as well. This is a bandpass so the front of the subs are not visible, but you can see the rear of the subs by looking through the aeroports. The rattle seems to come from the bottom of one of the port walls i can visibly see vibrating. This is not the first time the port has come loose but this is the first time there has been a lack of volume. These are two alpine type r 12"s off of an old school lightening audio 1000d. Does anyone know the weight of the saz4500 and the saz100.4?ive looked but cant locate this information.

I'll never do this, it's for 2 SMD 18's in 8 cubes with 15.375 sq. in. of port per cube. Would it work, the port wrapped around the box? It's 1*123, so 123" of port area. Would there be port noise, not enough back pressure, or crappy air movement? I forgot the brace for the bolt. If the port was 1:4 it would be tuned around 30hz, says a port calculator.

OK, Well I have tried a few things and nothing worked. But first I will tell you my situation. I have a 92 Ford Ranger xlt and a FI BL 15 in THIS Box with a Pyle Audio 2200 amp. My problem is that When the box and sub are in the cab of my truck and the head unit is off or on it doesn't matter. I receive a very loud buzzing sound when I turn the key on. I got done (for now) sound deadening my truck today, and when testing, I noticed there was still a bit of a rattle coming from some unknown location. I put my hand on a bunch of metal panels, sat on the box, nothing. Finally, I decided I would wait till daylight to really diagnose the problem. Later, I put a shirt over the port to see how much air was moving... The sound stopped. I removed the shirt, it started again. Did it a couple more times and the same thing happened... Am I missing something, or do I just need to dress up ( ) my box for it to want to work properly? I'm stumped.

Hey, well about two months ago, I put it my sub amp (hifonics 1606d) in with a temporary sub from my home theater set up. Immediately I noticed there was a really loud hissing, even when the RCA's were disconnected. I figured it was a ground, so I tried another spot, with the same results. I left it alone untill I install my speakers and amp, which is now. I finished installing my comps, wired everything up and it was all fine. But i noticed a really faint high pitched noise when the engine is on or off. I have a switched wired to the remote wire of the sub amp. well i had ordered some items from someone over at CA.com Friday 9th. I received the image dynamic speakers thursday I believe without the sub. I couldn't imagine why I didn't get both of them but I just shrugged it off. Well.....I just got back from a trip and I told my parents about it and they said "Yeah, we have something to tell you." My dad hands me an envolpe that has nothing but a label and an aplogoy note from the postal service. Basically someone either A) stole my sub or B. lost the package which I have no idea how you lose something this big. so we are going to go talk to the people about this monday. I'm really bummed about it

OK, i have some bass'd up songs that I've been trying to burn to a dvd-r. i have a dvd/cd player in the truck. I put the dvdr in and choose my program. first time i did it as a data. Second time I put it in as burn an MP3 DVD. I dont burn very often. what am I missing?
