So, today i biught a 1994 Camry coupe. Red. V6. I will no longer be walling the wagon... i will be walling the coupe. So here the deal... I bought the car for $480. It needs a motor, winshiled, and a new hood(which i already have a spare.) Plan: 1. Put a motor in. 2. Swap the hoods. 3. Tint 4. System. System will consist of : (4) saz-3ks (4) SSA ZCONs 15" or 18" depending on space. Batts... DC Power 390xp Sundown or hertz comps. Sax100.4 Etc etc... pics soon.

I have a planet audio ac400.1d mono block amp and want a subwoofer around 1000 watts rms that's not to expensive .. I found an audiopipe txx bd3 12 for $147 and also saw a Massive Audio toro x 12 for $185.. Don't kno which one to get .. Should I just get the audiopipe or save a little more money up for the massive toro x 12?

Should have both of my 15" Xcons this week and I also bought two of there hand made boxes.(nice stuff) When I mount the subs in the new boxes should I drill a small pilot holes first? So I finally got my Time alignment and my 2 way active set up going. Man oh man what a difference in the sound now that its all dialed in. I have switched out my dual 5.25 for a single 6.5 in the doors with the Tweets in the A pillars. Decided to stay with Polk audio. Got the Momo 6.5 comp set. Sound excellent. My buddy and I worked out the details for the tuning Saturday night. The Dodge dash and cab are so wide that it took some dancing with the settings to get a good center stage area. Does anybody know about when they will become available like next month or next year and around how much they will cost? I either want to get a saz1500v2 used for 287 before the sales ends or the OA. I really want the OA but I don't want to pay more then 300 for it when I can get the saz cheaper now.

well i was talking with some of my friends, and we got to talking about some stupid crap. so i decided to ask the same question. When you are listening to your system in your car, do you tend to leave it on even numbers or odd numbers? (ex. i like mine on 18) i tend to lean toward even numbers, and some of my friends will only listenin on odd numbers. what are yalls thoughts?

I have done some searching and can't seem to find a post anywhere that addresses what people like to listen to during the setup of their front stage--not the subwoofer. What CD's or tracks do you guys prefer for setting up the angles of your front speakers and to generally test the imaging and staging of your setup?

I want to make a box for my 03 yukon this is what I have H21"xL46"xD28" I want to chamber both 18's with a 3" port turned to 33hz is this right for my truck. I want to put the subs up with ports up is this right or should I go with subs up and ports back? Need help from the family. Thanks for all the advise.

I've got a used SSA DCON 10" and alpine mrp-m350 amp. The amp is hooked up to a line out conerter tapped into my rear speakers with the amp recieving power. The sub is wired in parallel and is a dvc 4ohm sub so the amp's output is going to be 2ohms. I've got both sub terminals, negative to negative and positive to positive. The wire connecting the box is connected to ONE terminal...that is correct right? I've checked all the wires again and again yet can't get the sub to do anything. I changed grounds to no avail. I bought a used sub off a member on caraudio.com (lil98cabrio) and am starting to think it's blown, but don't have another sub to test. Is there a way to test…

hey guys. i built my crx style box this morning. it sounds very good.here are the specs on the box. 5.5cu.ft internal after sub and port displacement. 100sq.in port tuned 40hz. with the port plug,60sq.in tuned to 34hz. all i have left to do now is bondo and paint. charles

2004 chevy silverado xcab clarion dxz955mc source unit (installed) kicker kx 2500.1 kicker kx 4 channel, undetermined yet kicker ss 6.5 componets (to replace the memphis sq) kicker rmb or ss 8 (will either go where the factory 4x6's are or in custom door pods) kicker 8L7's x 4 under the backseat, hopefully ported. if i have to go sealed, then i might try to squeeze 4 10L7's. whatcha think? changes, idea's? will probably throw a blue top back there, and change all the wiring out for kicker as well. dunno yet. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Just finished an install today on a friends car (1994 Toyota Corolla) It consists of the following: Alpine CDA 9884 2 10" Fi SSD (brand new, no options) in a 1.35 cubic foot sealed enclosure BIG 3 (4 AWG) Stock batt up front, Motomaster Elimintaor in the rear 4 AWG wiring throughout Memphis 16-MC1500D @ 2 ohms For some reason, after no more than 10 minutes of test tones (from 25hz to 40hz) at around 75% volume the amp goes in and out of protect mode. All we were trying to do was loosen the woofers up a bit. Car was started, and gains weren't even at full potential. Fuse holder w/ voltage display states that the voltage was around the 11.8V range before it went into prote…

Ok so I 2 FI Q 15s powered by a DD M3a at 2 ohms. I have 1 run of 4 gauge, and stock electrical. The box is 8 cubes at 33hz and is walled in my car but not completely sealed off yet. I only had 20 mins with the TL so I only tested 2 songs and I got a 148.2 at the dash sealed with Lil Jon Throw it up. I just ordered new battery terminals today and My buddy is sending me 11ft of 0 gauge so I can do the big 3. Then I will sound deaden my 2 front doors and whatever I have left over I will sound deaden the floor of the car. After that I will seal off my trunk from the cabin (which is behind the box) but I wont have all the trim panels to go around the box to make it even more…

now that finals for most organizations have happened or are coming up very soon, along with the holidays in the horizon, does anyone have some new plans for their system???

hey guys i turned on my sub today and got a new weird sound ive never heard before. everything has been fine the last few months, until today. it sounds like a lower pitched rattle of some sort. i listened and it seemed to be coming out of the port. i could smell just a hint of glue, and the cone was warm. anyone got any ideas? if you need any more info just let me know, ill do my best to get it. thanks.

I just picked up a Furi HQ 2200 in good working order spent $150. I cant find any info on these. Anyone know what one of these is worth and if there is a spec sheet somewere. Any help would be nice.
