A friend of mine just got a car and wants a bit of bang in his trunk. Door speakers will be stock And just an amp for the sub. Still working on Convincing him on getting the rest. Car: 2004 Honda civic 4door Sedan Alternator: 70a? H/u: Probably my current pioneer 8500bhs? Amp: I was thinking 500ish watts Sub: probably 15" sealed. Goals: cheap and sq Box size: 2-3 cubes max total I'm open to all opinions

Ok, so I have an issue with going active. I currently have a head of lettuce and two salad forks going to 4 carrots and two sets of cucumbers. If I were to crossover the carrots between 60-600 hz and the cucumbers to 400-10khz would this sound good on 60rms coming from my potato? Please I need help I can come up with 2 boiled eggs and some salad dressing if I have to, but i'd like to stick between onions and celery.

So far this has been a learning experience to say the least. It's been frustrating at times, especially with the AZ heat. I'd like to list some advice/say a few things that I've learned so far. I have been ripped off, sold short, and stolen from in this hobby plenty of times. I have never ripped anyone off, ripped equipment off of anybody, or lied about any piece of equipment I have sold. Karma came back around again today in my favor, as I received a BNIB Fi BL 15" from an ebay purchase. Cost me 250$ shipped. =] Keep it real when it comes to selling your stuff and it will come back around! It has for me! =]

For my third build (ever) iv decided to go with 2 ssa evils..reason being, i wanted run somthing unique and new.i just recently heard of the evil and iv already fell inlove with it..i currently have one (so far) and i got to say im really impressed with it! cant wait to run two..waiting for friday to come so i can order its brother,,

my jeep compass has the amplified boston acoustics stereo and needless to say ill be changing the whole thing but what I really need to know is do I have to have the pac canbus adapter since I don't care about steering wheel controls and wont be using the factory amp also if I don't use the adapter I would assume id have to run all new speaker wire directly from the amp to the speaker any help with this would be appreciated never worked with a canbus stereo before

Hey guys. Ok the is my dilemma. Ihave 2 JBL gti mkii 10" and 2 amps. Ihave fused the voice coils together. Well I assume that's what I've done. One reads at 3.5 ohms and one at 7 ohm. So what I am asking is can I link the subs together to even out the ohm load and then run the amps in parallel. And if so how would I run my speaker wire. I really miss my good out put but I don't want to cook anything and have no system. Please help

Hi- I have been using a ZCON 18" for about a year now and I love it. It's powered on an IA 40.1. I have an XS D3400 & XS XP3000 for a battery set up, and the stock 120 amp alternator. I've gotten it down so that the sub won't heat up during normal use and it's fairly loud. It get's a bit louder when I can crank it up but it also heats right up since my electrical begins to sag. I am working at a decently paying job for the summer and have decided I can either buy an additional ZCON 18" and making a new box or get a 300 amp singer alternator. Hey guys, I’ve had this system for the past three months and I’m not very fond of it.. Especially the Kicker Sub. It doesn’t hit hard at all and with some low bass songs it sounds like I may be using a little boom box. I was wondering if the system that I have set up should be sounding great or if what I’m getting is expected from this kicker sub. In my old truck I had an Alpine type S 12” amped, not sure if my expectations are too high. Also with my amped Alpine Type R speakers I’m not getting any bass what so ever. ok so my cars alternator is PCM conrolled.. and that means low voltage to start with. 14 flat cold on a good day 13.8 13.6 hot with my 300 amp mechman 4 31 series dekas in the rear and an old exide orbital under the hood..... so i spend a few bills and get a misslink audio module, to boost my voltage, and at first it did.. 14.6 cold, 14 flat hot... but then it became very spratic it was all over the place, and some times 13.00 hot... but normally 14.2 or so idled up .... well while testing to get ready for texas heatwave the biggest show in texas, thats this weekend.. my scores were down a full DB... well my orbital under the hood is 5 year old maybe older.. so…

Spoke with Nick @ IA this morning. Customer service there never ceases to amaze. Anyway, got wind of some pro audio woofers coming. I can't say when, but I'm pretty stoked. Also a new Flatlyne coming. I'm glad they're branching out and expanding as a company. Congratulations IA! Now send me 2 of the new DR 12's, and 2 of the Pro Woofers. LOL

About a month ago I had a local shop wire my car and install a set of components/head unit in my 2011 Malibu. Basically ran all wires to the back for me to put my amps and sub stage in. I installed a fosgate power 400.4 for my forgate t2 components using the passive xo. Couple different sub setups but always the same sundown saz1500. Extra kinetik hc2000 in the back. As of yesterday I'm starting to hear crackling coming from the tweets at about mid volume. Kinda strange because this morning I got in there after sitting all night and I was able to lay into it a little with no problems.. For about 2 minutes then the crackling/fuzz starts coming from the tweets again. Figure…

Has anyone ever used one of these? I bought a used amp, and it didn't come with a bass knob. I heard about these. If anyone knows, do i still set my amp gain like normal?

i have a 12in hcca its in excellent shpe i got offered an hx2 for my orion i know he only paid 125 for it on criagslist i already have an hx2 15 but i want to i also told him i wanted the sub and 175$ i thought it was fair considering what he paid for th hx2 i just dont feel like its a fair trade for it i like the hx2s but i think my 12 sounds better than 1 rockford does anyday just need some info on what i should do

I have 2 18s in seperate enclosures. I was told by some others that my ports where to small on my boxes. I had them tuned to about 31hz..so I made them bigger. Should be around 36-37 according to Torres..at the same time I bought a used DD z1 amp and hooked it all back up. Its sounds like shit..wont hit lows for shit. Do you think I tuned to high, or did I get a bad amp? Wtf

Im currently running 2 18s on about 2000w rms each. I know most would put both in the same box but i built separate boxes. the boxes are bolted together and then I have it in a wall config. According to Turros box calculator I have about 6cuft each and the port is tuned to about 32hz...what can I do to get louder if anything. Also I don't think the soundstream amps are putting out 2000w rms. would a more efficient amp help too. maybe an better amp with about the same rms power as the subs (1800w rms) not to risk blowing my subs.... advice please

Hi SSA, 1- I want to know what's a line driver specifically for? 2- Also is it worth having? 3- I've heard that the higher the voltage the better, but I don't really know what is meant by that. Please explain. 4- I have an Audiocontrol Eql concert series, does this have a line driver? My hu is a Jvc KD-R730BT. Thank you.

Im having an issue with my mids and highs cutting out when turned up to higher volumes. I dont know if its a problem with the install or a problem with the equipment it self. But I do know that it should be able to be louder than what it is without cutting out. I got Rockford t2s and a Rockford t400.4 any advice?

just lucked out and hopped on craigslist this afternoon and managed to happen upon a sweet deal for 2 SSA DCON 15s in a 7 cubes sealed box so I finally have ssa subs now all I need is a financial aid refund to get everything else and decide if im keeping one sub and selling everything else or keeping both and just redoing the box since it wont fit right in the jeep these things are so much nicer up close then in pictures lol the build quality looks awesome I just cant wait to hear them too bad it might be a few months

How do you test the voice coils of a sub with a dmm might be gettin some used ones need to test

So im plannin on building a wall in my crown vic soon. i have a DC Power 270Xp alt plannin on putting 5 batts in the back 2 18" fully loaded Fi Sp4s dual 1 and going to buy a crescendo 5500 along with knuconceptz Wire. will wire subs down to 1ohm together also have 4 crescendo 8" mid range speakers for the doors plannin on a few 6.5s as well super tweets planing to deaden all over using murder mat. Now onto the wall i will be sending max dimensions to BHE soon and get a wall design i am going to be aiming for about 7 if possible 8 cuft per sub tuned to 33hz also was lookin to go for 15 16 on the port vol. sorry if this is a little sloppy im on my phone ill post some pic…

i know i kinda talked about this before, but i wanted to update what i was doin. i have 2 psi 18s in seperate enclosures. Before i had only .50ft of port area in each box according to Torres. now i have about .98 which is double the port area than before. it apperently brought my tuning from about 31hz to 36 or so hz according to Torres. will this still be ok for daily? Was this a good idea or do you thing i will regret doing this? not quite finnished with this change..your thoughts.....
