damn----I am having a great week-----first my son is born and now these!!! ROCK ON!!!!

ok so i drive a 76' caprice with 2 treo 15's and my trunk lid is 2 seperate layers ....over the years the two layers dont stick together anymore which causes it to rattle ,sometimes louder than the bass and was just wondering if anyone could give me tips to fix this problem without weighing the lid down where it wont stay open on its own. my first thought was the canned foam stuff that expands but thats alot to fill also my cousin works for a glass company and he gaqve me a cpl rolls of that gooey black shit that seals windshields i just cant it very far into the lid. anyone got better ideas?

I drive a nissan maxima, and I need a system that will be the BEST I CAN GET for my car. I'm not really crazy for competition, I just want to be be heard from far away when i drive and make sure everyone in the block heres me when i stop at a traffic light/stop sign lol. I have a 12" FI BTL with the UfO motor that needs to be reconed. Who makes the best recone kit for it, I currently only know of FI and PSI recone kits but I'm not sure what one is better. Who makes the best recone kit for it? If another company makes one that would allow me to have 3000w rms that would be perfect. Please let me know what my options are and what you recommend.

i just wanted to know what is the correct way of using oscilloscope to set amplifier gain. 1. Do you scope the amp with the speakers connected? or just hook up the scopemeter to the amp speaker terminal? 2. What test tone to use to set subwoofer amp, midrange amp and tweeter amp? Will 50hz and 1khz be sufficient? I do notice that if i set amp gain at 80hz and then play 50hz test tone, the amp output is clipped. So how low on test tone frequency shall i use for sub amp? 3. For music playback, is it better to use 0db test tone or -3db / -6 db for gain overlap? thanks

Soo... im trying to determine the next setup. I know i am doing ZCONs. And I will be using saz-3ks. Now what I need to figure out is if I can somehow fit 4 18" zcons on 4 saz-3ks. I am thinking of a wall behind the back seats... I dont(wont) want to remove my back seat. Now im not sure exactly how much room I have back ... So I will have ro measure it out later. i bought a kicker zx1000.1 about 3 yrs ago then go into some financial problems.. got them under control and am starting to piece a system together for my 02 xtreme blazer.. so far i have the zx1000.1 and yesterday i bought 2 basically new IDQ15v2 subs for $200.. also have 125sqft of raamaat.. plan o getting some ID ctx65cs and an amp to give them 150-200w/dr.. how do u think this set up will sound for rock/metal?

Have a Pioneer 4100ub and associated Ipod adapter. I have tried to plug in a brand new Iphone and a first generation Ipod and neither "worked". Tried both the included Ipod to USB cable and one that was brought with. Both switched the h/u automatically from AUX to USB/Ipod but no sound came out of the stereo. Radio/CD/and front AUX are all 100% functional. Of course all I did was connect them and have the owner of them start playing music. I don't own an Ipod and won't, but considering my boat already has the unit and will at least for the rest of the year I'd like to be able to use others. Is there some trick to using it? So basically I let a friend borrow my car and while he was using it he messed up the trunk latch and when he couldn't fix it he tied an extension cord around my subwoofer and box and held the trunk down with it. When he drove it back to me he played the music all the way up and when I got it back my subwoofer wouldn't play. I figured it was the woofer being held back while trying to play but then I tried another sub on it and it still wouldn't play so I tried another sub and again it didn't play. What could it be causing my issues. What could I do to diagnose my issue. The light on the amp goes on and it looks like everything is working. any help would be awesome. Thanks.

So I bought a Tantric HD 12 d2 a week ago and received it yesterday. Today I went to put it in my 2.5 cu enclosure and I am having a problem with the sound/voltage. It doesnt drop ( to maybe low 14s) and something is definitely wrong. I had a problem similar to this last week when I realized my coils on the mayhem were toast. Voltage drop with zv4 was to around 12 volts. The way it is playing seems as if it wired very high. I just hooked up two 12" dual 2 ohm Ascendant Audio Havocs powered by a sundown audion saz -2500 amplifier in my 2004 dodge ram quad quab in a bassforms box. Before this i had two 12 inch kicker cvr powered by a cheap 2500 watt ssl amp. The problem im having is first i think one of the subs is busted, it sounds like a voice coil it rattles as if its not tight until you hold the sub down, when you push on the dust cap off it it rattles profusely so i think i may need to send it back.
