Anyone had experiences with this brand? Their amps? True power? Subs? Durability? Boxes? Good as or worse than prefab?

Ok so for the last day or two I've been at a total loss as to what's causing problems with my system. I've had it running for a few months now on this brand new SAE-1200Dv2 without a single hiccup until last night. So, this is how it started... I was on my way to my friends house when my subs cut out a couple times. Thought to myself, no biggie, must be a loose connection somewhere. I checked my ground and it was fine. I took a DMM to the subs which presented a 1ohm load, so that checked out. I took the DMM and measured voltage at the battery and amp, which read 14v+. The amp is also getting power as it did not go into protect or turn off. I also took the amp off the swit…

Hey guys my girl friend is asking me to get her a little bass in her car but she wants to keep everything stock! which i am very cool with! the car is a 07 hyundai elantra and I have never did an install where everything is stock so I thought i would ask how do I do did it first of all and what I will need. Now i think i will need a LOC (line-output-control) is this true? I have never pulled her dash apart and it looks crazy to do. so if anyone has experience with this or knows something that i don't please let me know. next i will need to rig of a remote wire... i was thinking of just using a switch or is there a better way to do this. thanks in advances and if anyo…

I have done some searching and can't seem to find a post anywhere that addresses what people like to listen to during the setup of their front stage--not the subwoofer. What CD's or tracks do you guys prefer for setting up the angles of your front speakers and to generally test the imaging and staging of your setup?

ok so i drive a 76' caprice with 2 treo 15's and my trunk lid is 2 seperate layers ....over the years the two layers dont stick together anymore which causes it to rattle ,sometimes louder than the bass and was just wondering if anyone could give me tips to fix this problem without weighing the lid down where it wont stay open on its own. my first thought was the canned foam stuff that expands but thats alot to fill also my cousin works for a glass company and he gaqve me a cpl rolls of that gooey black shit that seals windshields i just cant it very far into the lid. anyone got better ideas?

So i got excited today and built a 1.25 cube box ported to 32 hz today and put my new 10 inch icon in it. I ran the wires and had everything set up. I also hooked up my amp today and set everything up with that. I hooked the sub and amp up together and it barley worked. I had to turn the gains on the amp all the way up and the bass boost all the way up for it to barley hit. I mean it wasn't even playing notes the sub was just moving a little. Anyone have any idea whats wrong? I know i have everything hooked up right.

the following parts are what i have been looking at using in my system, does anyone have any thoughts (good or bad) on the choices here. I have a few amps lying around that all have pass through (eclipse, audiobahn, alpine) so one of them will be used in this configuration for the remaining speakers. 2 JL ZR800-CW 8" midbass driver to be built in a glass enclosure in my lower doors. 2 Hertz ML700 2.75" midranges to be glassed in my extreme upper door and angled at the drivers position. possibly 2 focal or hertz tweets, i have 2 alpine R tweets now that i think work very well so ill start with them and if they work well in this setup then great but if not ill swap to a…

Guess what... This weekend, thanks to my hero...and lots of hard work and testing... Got on the meter, with a Street B box for my truck... One 15" subwoofer Results are: (On the TermLAB.NET sensor) 149.2 LEGAL 151.8 In the kick, driver door open (MECA style, or dBDrag Outlaw) YAY!!!!!!! Holy chit I'm SOOOO happy, the current box has a 150+ legal in it...got plenty of little secret tweaks to do Not bad for a box built in a little over an hour Oh, and pics are soon to come! I had TONS of fun, learned more, and I owe a big thanks to Mr. Scottie Johnson! I'd also like the thank Jason (undercoverpunk), and Brad Russel for putting up with me while I was down there for 3days! …

Ok so...we all know that some vehicles are louder than others, some are more prone to flex so on and so forth. We all know that a 150 in one car can look and feel drastically different than a 150 in a different car. But what I want to know is... can there be more force behind a woofer's stroke which would in turn translate into moving more air and more flex BUT, it's not as loud on a meter? Let's take say...a pair 6x9. I can make the 6x9's play louder (to my ear anyway) than my pair of 12's but they move less air and hardly flex anything. It doesn't sound very "powerful," if you will. At the same time, my subs at a lot lower volume can move my mirror which the 6x9's can h…

well i was talking with some of my friends, and we got to talking about some stupid crap. so i decided to ask the same question. When you are listening to your system in your car, do you tend to leave it on even numbers or odd numbers? (ex. i like mine on 18) i tend to lean toward even numbers, and some of my friends will only listenin on odd numbers. what are yalls thoughts?

I have a dodge charger im trying to put some sundown subs in and I need help picking a line. My goal is to be very loud on music and 30-35 tune. I currently I have a DC alt 270xp, 4 xs 3400's batteries, and im either going to order a DC 5k or preferrably saz 4500 (if i can find one). also due to trunk space....I can't have 15's ported. so it's either 2 12's ported or 3 12's ported. What line of sub and how many is my best option?

** Coles notes: Very hot today, as soon as I turned up the volume the 2.600 amp shutdown, at about 1/3 volume every time. Was fine last night, had them cranked for a long time, no issues (I assume cooler outside too) ** Was thinking of adding three 140mm fans to each side of the amplifier rack after I drill some ventilation holes along the sides. Soundstream Rubicon amps in amplifier rack 1.2500D - bottom 2.600 - middle 2.250 - top Speakers. CDT CL-62 (2 pair per side, front) CDT CL69X (rear) Fi BTL (Dual 2, loaded) Had the fronts in parallel from the 2.600 @ 2ohm load. Rears @ 4ohm load. Sub @ 1ohm load. Hooked everything up last night, no problems setting gains, front…
