Does any one remember the Jazz orientated Alpine Test CD's of about 12-15 years ago? Any availablity

ok so im going to have to fi bl 15s and im going to have them on a crescendo bc3500 and was wondering about the wiring. so for one sub i would have - to - and one - going out. then + to + and + out too and then the same for the other sub. and the amp has two +'s and two -'s and i put the wires from one sub into the + and - beside each other and the same for the other sub is that a 2 ohm load? sorry if its confusing tried explaining it the best i could.

Does any one know where to get this adhesive for a reasonable price? I believe its black CA glue.. but I'm not sure.

Made a MASSIVE school boy error today and bought one of these along with an alpine 12 disc changer..... I didn't realise this was a cassette receiver as the model number wasn't in the Ad, all the info I had was it was 4x60 watts and I stupidly assumed it was one of the higher end alpines even if it was old!! I got a friend to collect it, I would have checked if I'd have gone, but it was actually advertised as cd player & cd changer!! It's only cost me £50 for the 2 units, I'm just wondering how good the sound quality is …

Right now I'm talking to my dad about a system for our boat. We have a Yamaha AR230. He wants a whole new system. He wants new speakers to fill the orginal spots. Then he wants bass. He was looking at JL audio, but I told him not to get that, because it's too expensive for what he wants. I don't think he would really tell the difference between JL and something else. I want to get him some subs and amps from the VVME website. I know they're not the best subs, but they're cheap and will get the job done for what he wants. I'm basically wanting to compare frequency response curves of subs, and I'm wondering if people feel Winisd Alpha is a legit way to do that? I believe the program calls it "transfer function magnitude". The program also has a "spl" field that I also wonder about. Thanks.

So I had an old friend stop by and he knew I was a fan of bass, and he hasn't heard my subs yet but offered to show me his. So he told me they were kickers, so I was already not impressed haha. So when I actually listened to these 12in kickers in a prefab ported box on a 300w rockford amp, I was pretty surprised. Ive never heard or seen these specific kicker subs before, and they were much louder then I expected. must be new? Now keep in mind my truck has shitty acoustics, and doesn't seal up as well as newer cars/trucks. It actually almost sounded as loud as the DCONs though. Sealed my box with resin, waited 5 days before I mounted my sub and put the box in my trunk, got in the car the next day and could smell the resin. It wasn't super strong but I could definitely smell it. can the fumes damage my sub? Is the fact that I can still smell it a sign I didn't mix the resin and hardener correctly? It has been cold lately so maybe it isn't curing properly? Should I be concerned?

Okay so I have two D1 XCONs that were both purchased used. One of them reads .07-.08 on both coils, and the other reads 1.0-1.1 on both coils. Both subs sound fine when they are used alone, but once I wire them together it sounds way quieter, and seems like one is canceling the other out. Could this be because they are getting different amounts of power? I've been troubleshooting and am really getting frustrated. I've triple checked the wiring, I've swapped RCAs, amps, and HU pre outs. I finally decided to wire one in my 4.5 cube shared chamber enclosure to 2 ohms and bam the difference was night and day louder. I switched to the other sub and it was just as loud. Wire th…

I have a 12" FI BTL with the UfO motor that needs to be reconed. Who makes the best recone kit for it, I currently only know of FI and PSI recone kits but I'm not sure what one is better. Who makes the best recone kit for it? If another company makes one that would allow me to have 3000w rms that would be perfect. Please let me know what my options are and what you recommend.

So I'm trying to do the big three and I'm looking for some battery distribution blocks that will fit on my battery posts for 1/0 gauge. I think i need 4 total holes. 1 for my alt to my positive, 1 for my battery ground, 1 for my power wire, and 1 for my negative. anyone know where i can get some for less that $80 all together?

i need help i will be adding my old subwoofer to my other subs and was wonder if i can wire a single voice coil sub with a dual voice coil. the single voice coil is 4 ohms and the dual is a dual 4ohms but idk how to wire it either in series or parellel

im very new to car audio. my problem lies with when my volume of the HU is all the way to zero and i go to my subs there is a faint noise its hard to explain well it's kinda like a hum or a buzz but very quite i tried the ground loop fix by grounding my rca's to the HU and that helped a bit since the noise was louder before and that got rid of it then i found a better bolt for my amp ground so it was more secure and that did not help. so idk what could be the problem. my setup with the problem HU: pioner DEH x3500ui subwoofer: one kenwood kfc w3013ps other sub is unknown i was told from the seller it was an older kenwood but im thinking it is a home thearter subwoofer. …

I have 1 crescendo 5500 @ 1 ohm on 2 18 sp4s box is 6.5 cub per 18 with 170 inch of square port! 18s are fully loaded. Pioneer deh80prs,4 rockford fosgate 5 1/4 and us 600 pushing them. 320 mech. Alt. 1 xs 3100 up front and 2 3400 in back of honda odyssey van. All 0 gauge cable. Never has it metered, but want more for comp. My question is this what about 1 more 18 with a wall and have amp wired to 1/2 ohm ( for comp) with some dynamat, or two more 18s? Either way will be just the one 5500 cresendo running subs. And how much diffrence do you think would be either way?

So im trying to do my first recone and the tinsel leads won't fit through the small hole in the terminal, am i suppose to fabricate it somehow? also the tinsel leads on my other zcon 18 looks more round and in one peice and the recone looks flat and folded. Hi I was in my friends ride yesterday and heard a problem ive never read about When he turns his radio on, there is a static noise very similar to one you might hear from white static on a tv This noise starts before the music does and continues throughout music play Besides the annoying sound in the background, the music sounds fine Dude told me he just got a new radio cause he was hooking an amp up in the back and his headunit started smoking I could not figure that 1 out either, maybe he hooked the remote from the old radio 2 the batt and ground at the same time? So no more then an hour ago I had a post about a Focal amp I found on WoofersEtc.com for 200 bucks but then someone recommended an NVX amp. I checked out the website which i'll link below and was impressed with the gear and information provided. What they had to say about there company and videos I watched I figured they are definitely worth a look. As of now I am looking at Soundqubed for my amps but I can get NVX amps for a little cheaper and from what I saw they look better. Anyone have experience with this company ??
