Hey guys, Just got my 2 sa-12s installed with my saz 1000d. My light dimming is very minimal at night so i figured i would do the big three before i do anything else... I currently have 4ga wire for my amp ground and amp +. Would it be okay to leave it like that? If its okay to leave it like that, can i do the big 3 in 4ga? or just do it in 0ga. I will never put a larger amp in this car if that helps with anything. saz1000d will be the largest amp it will ever see.

My question is with the photos shown would it be worth the big 3 update. The wires I have now are quite large both negatives go to the engine block and there is a little one off of the passneger side that is petite that goes to the truck It is the only one I see so far that actually goes to the body the others deal with the engine.

My car is a 95 ram 1500 and i think the alternator is 120amps will i need the big 3? information on the amp there are 3 40amp fuses so 120 amps is the most the amp will pull i was told just put that there maybe it will help you guys. Okay so I just got a new Dodge Dart a week ago, and I love it! It has 6x9's in the door's and obviously leave a lot to be desired. They have quite a bit of midbass, but lack everywhere else, so the fronts have to go, I don't care about the back door speakers. My Goals: - CHEAP - Decent overall Sound, plenty of midbass - Loud, Bright, not harsh. I have always been a fan of bright Silk tweets. - Keep stock HU - CHEAP - CHEAP What I have: - stock 6x9 - Alpine V-Power 50x4 - spot for an 8" sub in the rear deck. - Line out for factor HU - spot in dash firing up for up to a 3" mid/ tweeter - LPG 26 tweeters I bought when I was going to go active with some CDT ES-06. What I need…

Who is under the impression that bigger ports have narrower band widths compared to smaller port boxes? I have heard this a few times in the last few days. I wanna if this is a common miss-conception.

Justin has went to EVERY show, and has gained alot of King of Bass points making him the champion. With each entry he has also gained the most entries to the free SMD subwoofer, thus winning him the SMD woofer in the draw at the end of the show. This goes to show what going to EVERY show and being there each time can get you. Congrats Justin! It pays to support manufactures who support the shows at the roots, this is one prime example!

I need 15/0 AWG size who makes it? ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Haha, did i make you think i was retarded for a minute or just straight crazy?, hehe No but seriously, does anyone know where i can get 2/0 or maybe even 3/0 wire? Also, I would need to know anyone who makes battery terminals for these sizes and or the following- fused distribution capability non fused distro capability 2/0 to 1/0 reducers or 3/0 to 1/0 reducers. Reasoning- Lanzar's engineers should be smacked in the face for being retarded. They released a 6000D, 6,000w amp with ONLY 1 set of power and ground terminals! Hifonics Goliath is only a 5kw amp and it has 2 sets! Anyways,…

Some people wanted to see some larger cable so here you go. This is a shot of three-conductor 750MCM next to a 2" IMC coupling. The coupling is 2.5" in diameter so that gives you an idea of how large this stuff is. Picture is misleading though as the cable is actually about 3.1" in diameter. This stuff weighs 18lbs. per foot!!! And here's a shot of 750kcmil next to the three-conductor. This stuff is no joke. It can handle over 10Kamps of current!!! I have some even large stuff, but it was buried on a spool and I couldn't get to it to take some photos. And last but not least, my favorite big'uns!

Well it seems I am facing a "small" problem. I am looking to replace my current stock alternator with a bigger one. Anyways after searching here and on Google, I managed to find several companies who build and / or sell high output alternators, for example: HO alts, Ohio Generator, Iraggi Alts, etc. But none of those companies have a high output alternator for my car: Lexus IS 220D (Diesel) make of year is 2007. (yeah I am European). The stock alternator is already pretty high (130A), but it's not enough to power: 2x SAZ-1500D strapped & 1x SAX-100.4 (bridged) & 2x Kinetik HC1800 batteries. Anyone know a different brand or who do custom build alternators? ...or h…

What do you think was the biggest (or most memorable, or something that directly related to you, etc) event of 2005 in the mobile electronics industry? CES 2005 doesn't count Could be a product release, could be an article, could be a competitor at finals, etc ... whatever you want.

So I was searching this forum and others and I found this stuff called BIRCH PLY. my thoughts are it looks sexy and cost more than mdf. but my question is how does it compare to mdf? does 3/4 mdf= ½ birch ply or 5/8 if ½ is to small? are there any downsides to using this type of wood? also can someone confirm if birch ply is 1/2 the weight of mdf? (say 3/4 mdf vs. 3/4 birch ply = 1/2 the lb's) I am considering using this type of wood for my box rather than MDF b/c my next setup will be a heavy one and eliminating weight will be good in my part or I will HAVE to buy a luggage kit for my car which is ~300$ my next setup will be: 2-saz2000 = 40lb~ 2-NS 15inch v1 subs = …

ok so i am looking to get either 2 15" BLs or 2 15" Qs. i am powering them with a Rockford Fosgate 20001bd amp, which i was told throws out about 2800 watts of power when i called Rockford. i am also building a custom box outta 3/4" MDF that i'm not completely sure about dimensions for yet. now i am leaning towards the BL because even though both the BL and the Q have the same power handling, the BL i am told can take more punch, which would compensate for the 800 extra watts from the RF amp. but everyone says that the Q is all about sound quality. is the BL going to have good SQ along with it's SPL? if i can hear that the BL will have good sound quality or better, than i…

I picked up a pair of Xplode 10" subs on Friday for $15 Anyone have any specs for a box that will make these tolerable? I have 100wrms to go to each, it's in a college dorm. I have them isobaric on a bazooka tube for now, and it's okay, but drops real quiet below 40hz. I don't need it loud, just low. Note: I know, they're sonys.
