I have the almost perfect exact dimensions for it: W: 37.1875 H: 17.25 Top depth: 15.4375 bottom d is same as top wood thick: .75 port h: 15.75 port w: 3.1875 port l 1: 11.5 port l 2: 4.5625 box vol: 3.9 (ft3) I'm borrowing it from a friend for my Fi BL, so i have no idea what it would be tuned to, but i got all the dimensions Also, based on everything, what should i set my amp levels to for it? I have this picture that someone suggested i use for my chit, but my sub doesn't hit hardly with these settings Something else i don't get is, the screw is one long line and one shorter line, which is suppose to line up with these arrows?

Okay, so i am wanting to build a box for my two Sa-12s. The width of the box is 40" The height is 13" The depth is 16" The total box volume without subwoofer displacement or port displacement is 3.709. Im trying to get a frequency of 35hz. I want to go with an aero port but im not really sure what would be a good size? I did the online calculators and for a 6" aero it would need to be about 12" long. My only concern is if this is going to be enough port area for two Sa-12s? If its not what could i do to get a good port area for theses subs?

Ok guys i need major help on a box design i am getting a SSA Xcon 15 and i am going to need to fit it into a single cab truck i talked to Aaron and he said the mounting depth of the sub is 8 and 3 4ths deep and my seats move separately so i can build a custom box. what do you guys think i should do. just push the passenger seat up a bit and run a box all the way across at a different depth so my seat could stay where it is what do you guys think i need some ideas please. Hey guys, I just got a new sub put in my car and my box is currently sliding around all over the place in the trunk, (I drive a Mazda Rx8 btw), the box sliding is annoying and unsafe.. so I'd like to fix it asap. I was hoping to get some ideas or suggestions on how to stop the movement! Thanks in advance! If pictures would help, let me know. I could try to get some!

Not sure if this will work or not, i'm scared that the subs won't move the air into the box. And yes it is a tight space. Im just going to take out the 6x9's and leave the metal sheeting but have the holes there. My main concern is the box though. Would it even be a point in porting it and if so where? Plan on starting this later today, or whenever i get some wood. or maybe angled like this

i was looking into buying a 15" Fi ssd then i had my eyes on the 18" but i just dont have the trunk space for the recommended 6-10cubes ported. is there anyone out there that has a box under specs and its good or should i just stick with the 15" or what. my trunk is only about 35 inches wheel well to wheel about 16" high and roughly 30 some inches deep....i would have to have the sub facing upwards....so not much room to work with...tell me what you guys think. BTW i know steve meades box for his 18"s is only 20 cubes for 4 18"s so that means he only has about 5 cubes per sub. idk gimme some info and feedback please.

I finally got around to actually designing a ported box for 1 12" Memphis PR. I played around on reaudio.com playing with numbers and made a box to my specs. And FWIW, you can download the caculator to you computer, by going to the parent directory... http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/ Here is what I have now... The person I'm making it for listens to mostly rap and hip-hop. What should the box be tuned to? Memphis's specs 2.00 / 45 / 12.5 x 2 x 19. Any help would be greatly apprecitated

Instead of cutting a hole for a terminal cup I plan on running a 1/4 inch or so bolt through the side of my sub box. My question is, what type of bolt would be best for power/signal transfer? -Standard Steel -Stainless Steel -Brass -Aluminum -Chrome -Grade 8 Steel -Copper (not sure I can find it) There is just so many options and I don't know what to choose. Thanks All

hi Dudes/Dudedettes -Is te Box tool on this site any good? -Should I look somewhere else if I want to do it propperly? -If I use this tool on the site; do I have to over build it to compinsate for sub displacement and of course bracing? -What other (free) tools do you guys use that are easy to use and if you have paid for it how much and was it worth it? thanks, i am sure this will help others out there as well.

I'm going to be selling my rockford t1 15 but I'm going to build a new box for it. My current one is tuned to 38hz which is probably why my lows aren't to good. I want to try tuning it to 32hz unless someone has a better recommendation. This is the box I have right now - http://imageshack.us/a/img828/4849/imagesyn.jpg I want to keep the height the same, but knock the depth about 2-3inchs if possible, and my width can be bigger. I'm not very understanding of port size and how to get that tuning/and get the cubes it needs with the different size port.

A year or two ago I had a box made by the local shop, I asked them to build it the specs of IA for the LI 15 but I'm doubtful they did so? The port looked and always seemed too small, it doesn't have any L shap as far as the port goes its just straight back and seems too slim...how would I measure the port to see the tuning and determine the total cubic feet? Also by first glance, does anyone think something is wrong here with the port....when I see most other builds by specs they all look a lot bigger...shady shops, only in it for the money smh.. I'll upload some more pictures tomorrow for a better look...
