  3. I am getting back in the game again! I have never done a trunk build before but had a few 150db + systems before so I'm looking for some answers. I have an 05 Nissan Sentra and I want to do a "trunk wall" build. I want to run two 15s and I want to play some nasty lows an move tons of air and be in the mid to high 140s. I'm considering the Dayton UM15-22 in a sealed enclosure around 6.5 cubes on 2-3k. I'm just curious if anyone have any input on these subs for car audio applications! I am interested because they play very low an they prefer sealed enclosures. I'm just wondering how they will perform in a car audio environment!

Just wanted to get a feel for how many of you buy from dealers, online, direct from the factory of only buy used i.e. ebay, craigslist, ssa.com, classified. If you compete at all, I am really interested to find out where you get your stuff. 1. Local Dealer 2. Online Store 3. Factory Direct 4. Used from craigslist, ebay, ssa, etc.

Hey, what's up everybody? So, I've got this build going: My Build I'm working on the battery rack and would like to get some thoughts on this design I've got. I've changed it up a little bit from what I had in my build. Let me know what you think, what you'd change, maybe what some of you have done or are doing now. Now some pics: Here is deal. Chevy Suburban with the batteries between the frame rails where the spare tire would be. Here we are looking down on the setup. Looking from the bottom up. Here is a close up of the hanger. The tangerine pieces are 1/4" plate. The gray angles are 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" by 1/8" thick angle irons. The hangers are held in place to the fra…

I plan to build a floating amp rack in trunk of my car and was wondering what the best material to use for the construction. I was thinking 3/4" boxed tubing but I'm not a structural engineer or anything, so i would appreciate the input on the matter.

hi i have had the pg xenon 600.1 on my previous sub setup which was ran at one ohm but i have recent sold that sub and bought a dc sound lab lvl 4 xl 15 which is dual 1.4 ohms i tried wiring it in series to a 2.8 ohm load and it didnt seem like the amp was putting out hardly any power so i was wondering if i wired everything in parallel to get a .7 ohm load would that be safe for the amp. i plan on checking everything again in the morning to see if i can get it to sound right at 2.8 ohms . but if not do u think the amp will be safe at .7 its just for daily driving no competitions or anything

  17. Ok, so about a week ago I got my final system installed, except for the amp. Now when we were playing with it and just playing some music the rattle wasn't too bad but I put a layer of Stinger Roadkill on it and it helped a bit. Fast foward to this evening. I was demoing for some friends and I haven't had bad rattle yet until now. My trunk lid is now slapping and it's getting ugly. My setup is sub up port back so basically this sub is firing right at the trunk lid. So on a good note, this sub is moving enough air and creating enough pressure to begin to damage my trunk. On the downside, it's damaging my trunk. Question: Would another layer of deadener help with this? Or…

I am wiring up a 2011 mazda 3 wiring harness, and I have a wire harness that came with my Pioneer 3200bt and then I have the wire harness that is for my mazda 3, all of the colors matchup, except I am confused by a few things. 1. I have a ground with a metal "C" looking end on the 3200bt wire harness then on my mazda 3 wire harness I have a black wire on it as well that is ground too, what do I need to do with both grounds? I will be using a 12V relay if this helps at all, but still not sure how to hook both grounds up 2. On the 3200bt wire harness I have a wire that says "Reverse Gear Signal Input" but I don't have a purple wire on the mazda harness that goes to it, is t…

35 cubes tuned at 40Hz. 555 square inches of port. Power will be 5000-7000 on burps. Could i safely run this enclosure daily between 2000-3000 or should i make a port insert? What do you think? What sub's? The IXL18.2's would have been considered but they are not in stock. Thanks in advance for your help.

So my ex had a cat and my subs suffered for it that will teach me to leave them lying around (haven't even used them yet). It's a RE SX 12 from about 2005-2006. Is there anyone that can rebuild it or am i looking at a loss. Its not been used so everything is good just not the cap that was punctured. Thanks for any advice toward a fix. I want to use the set in a 1996 lincoln town car I hope at least.

I already have around 60 ft of welding cable in my truck, I just picked up another 30 feet to do another run of positive to the back because I'm about to install dual alts. Would it be better to run 2 neg runs to the front and back batts or just ground at each end?

Hey everyone I have 2004 Ford F-150 STX regular cab and I am downgrading from my 2 12'' Memphis C3's to more of a sound quality setup. I am thinking of going with one Sundown SA-8. I really dont know much about these woofers but I have heard great things. What kind of box would be best for a SQ setup with that sub? Here are a few pics of my old set up in my truck so you know what I have to work with. My truck

Vehicle is a 00 Audi S4. Front doors have a 1" tweeter up top next to the door handle, and a 4" speaker down low near the base. Rear doors have a 6.5" speaker at the base, & no tweeter. I am considering the Focal 165A3 3way component setup. Found Here (Or any other recommendations around that price) This would perfectly replace the worthless Bose speakers that are near death, as they are the same exact sizes. My concern is having the 6.5" of the 3way in the rear doors, an integral part of the system opposed to being just rear fill. The car is not very big, and my front seats are generally always back all the way (I'm tall). This basically puts them down almost right …

Ok i read up on my kicker 750.1 , and people on the web said they are running it at 1 ohm . I also know that kicker says it ca only do 2 ohms. how safe is this? If by chance i can run this amp at 1 ohm ,which would be better . a cadence txa 750.1 d, or the kicker. also i can run the kicker at 4 ohms and it will be 375 rms, on the other hand i can run the cadence at 1 ohm . Now being new to cadence is it even worth messing with. because i have 2 of the same amps and i cn strap them together to get 1200rms at 2ohms . Or should i get some subs that come out at 2 ohms to work with the cadence. or just sell everything and start over. my subs are alpine type r's dual 4s. Help
