Hey everyone, just bought a 96 honda civic ex coupe.. looking to upgrade my door speakers. this model vehicle has a component speaker system with a 6.5" midbass driver and 2" tweeters.. I'm wondering if these are hooked up to a crossover because I can't find one in the car.. And is it worth it to keep the crossovers (if there are any) and just upgrade the tweeters and midbass? and one more question is temporarily i have some pioneer 6.5 coaxials hooked up to where the midbass drivers would be, so far they sound good running off the headunit but should i not do that because im supposed to use a midbass driver?

whats up everyone, its been awhile since iv been on because i moved and didnt have any internet. so as some of you know i got my 2 sa-10's and my aq2200 stolen out of my car a few months ago and ever since then iv had no bumps but a few days ago a buddy of mine gave me 2 12" audiobahn flame series subs i think there the aw1206t models, i havnt heard much about these except there 1100 wrms and im pretty sure there daul 4ohm. they are in a sealed box not sure the volume. it has 2 separete teminals for each sub to hook up too. so my question is how would i wire them up like that if there is 2 terminals and does that mean i should get a 2ch amp or what? i want to push about …

So one of my friends is selling his CR-X to one of our buddies. But he keeps bein a prick bout it. So he's gonna sell me his Rex. She's nothin special. its a 1990 Si. Which i'm excited about. But the body is rusted to piss. And she'll need quite a lot of work even to just become road worthy. But she runs. Since i'm wanting to upgrade my truck soon. This will probably be where the Q and aq1200 go to. Maybe something a lil more efficient. Not sure yet. DL/Buy a good quality version of it. You might have to turn up your bass a little bit, or since the song is pretty light, your overall volume. BEWARE: I believe it's around 4:48, the song does a killer low note, then all the sudden the bass amplifies after it so get ready to turn it down or your amp is going to clip severely.

Well, i think im going to be wrapping my interior in black vinyl, and replacing some of the trim pieces with a polished silver type look. Anyways i was just wondering a good website that id be able to buy some Vinyl that isnt insanely expensive.

Being a dealer for DD and working close with them i decided i should post this thread. Lets keep it intellectual of course but i want you feedback on over all DD products and everything. I'm looking into adding some pro audio into my car.. I pretty much have everything ready except some pro audio mids. I'm looking to run them off channels 3&4 on my Arc FD 4150 and want them to get some power. The reason they need to get a lot of power vs your standard 8 ohm mid is because I'm running 2 crescendo supertweets of a Arc FD 2100 and they are screaming (see distance video below.) I'm really only looking into 1 mid per side so I can fit the supertweet and mid in a kick panel I'm planning on making.

Alright so i was down at the mall and took a look at the brand new 2012 Scion tc. I must say it looks beautiful, not too sure on how it performs or any issues that they have but it looked CLEAN. Im only 19 so its not like ill be able to afford one anytime soon, but it looks like such a nice car to wall . Kind of looks like a Honda CRX, but bigger and more luxury oriented. Guess i just had a bit of a daydream moment but maybe this will my my future car. Not sure yet, (Coming from a GM family, it seems odd to be this into an import.) I've recently acquired a 96 LS400. After reading about how the wiring of this particular model I feel like I could easily tap into the Factory Headunit signals and run the wiring needed to power and signal to my trusty Sax.100.4. The plan so far is to keep the factory headunit, upgrade the subwoofer, eventually upgrade the front components, use the 4 channel to power the sub and front speakers and use the factory amp to power the rear door speakers that can be faded off if necessary. I'm not sure what to do about the sub section. This model has a 8" sub mounted in the rear deck, powered by a 30ish watt amplifier. I would like more bass than this factory setup can …

Sorry for the nooby question guys but it has been a while. If I have a amplifier that puts out 150x2 at 4 ohms and 190x2 at 2 ohms when you bridge the channels together for 380 RMS does it go to 2ohms or 4ohms?

Hi i have a 2009 chevy silverado crew cab. I want to buy a pair of the sundown audio sa 10's im just concerned my box is a little small. The box is 1.02ft3 per chamber ported tuned to 36hz before driver displacement. Im currently running 2 jl audio 10w3v2 in a small sealed box(under the back seat which is where the new box will go)my sub amp is an alpine mrp m1000 i am running alpine components in the front and the deck is the pioneer avhp4300 which i love. I listen to almost exclusively metal ie disturbed, five finger death punch etc.... will these subs work in this box and how will they sound. I downloaded winisd and modeled them but to be honest i dont have a clue what…

soooo iv been on sonic and been looking for cea amps.. kicker most fostgate amp are cea compliant. most jl amps are not iv always heard they put out rated power and have the best sq. am i missing something sonic is wrong or im not informed correctly?

So i was just rear ended 2 hours ago at a red light. I have a 2004 chevy blazer and was the first in my lane at a red light. the guy next to me jumped and the girl behind me floored it in her dodge stratus. When it happened, my door speakers popped and do not work anymore. the fuses are all good, my amp still works as do my subs. I'm looking for some seleniums to put in my truck. I want two selenium horns and maybe selenium midbass drivers and supertweeters to put in my doors. I've looked at parts express but there doesn't seem to be a big variety If anyone knows a good website or dealer? And is It worth to look at horns under $100?

Are there any sub box design programs that work for macs?

DD 3515 Supercharged on an M2b. Im thinking of 4.25 after displacements tuned to 36 hz. This will be a comp vehicle and a decent demo car. Obviously nothing spectacular, i compete in smaller classes. Would like it to still play decent on music. I listen to everything country, rap, rock, 80's-90's metal. Do you guys think 4.25 net to 36hz will be a good combo, ive never played with a 15" before.
