So i just sold my nightshades.. got $900 to spend on new setup which would be subs and speakers(still stock, idk what to look for). I still want the walled idea its just that two nightshades was too much for me i want something still loud and proud but the thing was that i couldnt power them correctly, dont have enough money. but the box is already made to fit two 15s, it wasnt really custom made for the nightshades, it was for any pair of 15s. so im lookin for two new 15s i like rap, hip hop, and dubstep. i loveeee decaf. i dont blast my music i listen to it very gently. but you know i give demos to friends and show what my stuff can really do! i currently have a saz 1…

So, I was just looking up on Kijiji (Canadian classifieds) and somebody is looking to trade his Two 14"? PG Competition subwoofers for a wakeboard. Anyways, he tried to say that these subs get up to 200db off of 400 watts. I just thought this was pretty funny. Post some exaggerations you found hilarious?

Hey guys, I just got a new sub put in my car and my box is currently sliding around all over the place in the trunk, (I drive a Mazda Rx8 btw), the box sliding is annoying and unsafe.. so I'd like to fix it asap. I was hoping to get some ideas or suggestions on how to stop the movement! Thanks in advance! If pictures would help, let me know. I could try to get some!

Well. im just doing a bunch of general research and Scott Owens has the current SPL record at 182.2 db in his F-250. Obviously insanely modified and i understand that, i was just curious what type of box he uses. I cant really find much on what he actually used, does he keep it a secret? Idk im just kind of curious, it would be a nice little fact to know!

Just looking around, i dont want to post a thread everytime i have a question. So i was just wondering if anyone had some good websites that i could look at that would give me some good quality information on all different types of enclosures. So I am running whats in my sig and hit a 147.4 @ 36hz so far. My subs get hot pretty quickly and my goal is to hit 150. I'm sure I could get better numbers with another box as mine is for daily driving music but I like that. I was thinking of trying a new box just to see the difference for now but I'm also thinking of going with a single sub setup as space is limited in my little ranger. If I were to go with a single sub, I was thinking of something with more power handling like a BTL N3 in 15" or 18". Either way, I would like daily 150's. I am very open to suggestions and recomendations. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

On a suv which way should the subs and port be pointed. I was told subs up port forward what is best?

Does anybody know about when they will become available like next month or next year and around how much they will cost? I either want to get a saz1500v2 used for 287 before the sales ends or the OA. I really want the OA but I don't want to pay more then 300 for it when I can get the saz cheaper now.

Hey there everyone....I have a few friends who do a little free "tweak and test" thing for SPL every couple weeks. The next one is Saturday, August 20th (weather permitting of course.) It will be from 4pm-9pm at the Brunswick car show. The city holds a car show/crusin gig every Saturday at Laurel Square Shopping Center. They have their own space to do test and tune, just look for the EZ-UP tent and some loud cars around it. The address is 1733 Pearl Road, Brunswick Ohio 44212. It's about 18 miles south of Cleveland and about 20 miles north of Akron. Of course its free. Justin has went to EVERY show, and has gained alot of King of Bass points making him the champion. With each entry he has also gained the most entries to the free SMD subwoofer, thus winning him the SMD woofer in the draw at the end of the show. This goes to show what going to EVERY show and being there each time can get you. Congrats Justin! It pays to support manufactures who support the shows at the roots, this is one prime example!

So, today i biught a 1994 Camry coupe. Red. V6. I will no longer be walling the wagon... i will be walling the coupe. So here the deal... I bought the car for $480. It needs a motor, winshiled, and a new hood(which i already have a spare.) Plan: 1. Put a motor in. 2. Swap the hoods. 3. Tint 4. System. System will consist of : (4) saz-3ks (4) SSA ZCONs 15" or 18" depending on space. Batts... DC Power 390xp Sundown or hertz comps. Sax100.4 Etc etc... pics soon.

Have a Pioneer 4100ub and associated Ipod adapter. I have tried to plug in a brand new Iphone and a first generation Ipod and neither "worked". Tried both the included Ipod to USB cable and one that was brought with. Both switched the h/u automatically from AUX to USB/Ipod but no sound came out of the stereo. Radio/CD/and front AUX are all 100% functional. Of course all I did was connect them and have the owner of them start playing music. I don't own an Ipod and won't, but considering my boat already has the unit and will at least for the rest of the year I'd like to be able to use others. Is there some trick to using it? ok so my friend asked me to pick out some options for his first system. he has a 05 impala stock batt. he is not worried about sq; he just wants a daily driver.about 300$ for the subs and i told him to get a ap 1500. seats fold down he is not trying to seal off the trunk. he wanted 2 p1 15s i told him not to do that told him get 3 ia 187 12s, 1 ia li 15 , 2 rex 12s, or 1 15 fi bl. is there any other suggestions i could give him. i also told him to get a new batt. he is not worried about taking up the whole trunk, also the icon 15 was suggested.

So my girlfriend's older sister (30?) hears the system I put in my girlfriends car and now what's me to do one for her. She drives a 2000 Toyota Sienna Minivan and she doesn't want me to replace the factory radio (she says she likes it) I told her yeah this is possible but honestly I'm not to sure what to do. I was listening to my Fi Bl 12 today when it began to make a tapping sound. I assumed it was the dustcap, so i stopped my truck to check and found nothing wrong. I noticed the noise at a low volume, and when i turned the volume up it was gone. About 30 minutes later, while i was listening to shizzzons rendition of Dream On, my amp pooped out and began to smell. It also made the tapping noise i was describing earlier for a few seconds before it shut down. I pushed on the cone of my sub and did not notice any "jump" or hear any noise. So im not sure who is the culprit. Is my amp to blame, or did i blow my sub and that caused my amp to fail? amp is aq1200

I'm new at car audio and this is the first system I'm installing in my car. I'm hoping that some of you can answer my questions. I recently bought two Alpine Type R 10" subs and I was wondering if a MB Quart DSC 1500.1D amp will be able to power both of these subs. Also I'm looking for a good 2Din headunit that has navigation, bluetooth, usb, and dvd playback. I've been looking at a few online, but I'm lost when it comes to quality and good brands to look at. Also, are these headunit usually powerful enough to handle two Alpine Type R coaxial speakers or will I need an amp for those too? Any suggestions would be appreciated! Fi produces a great product, we all know, but them breaking crap in my car is annoying. Well it's officially gone too far now and I'm slightly mad. How should I fix/prevent this from spreading further. Song used was Decaf's Red Chain, destroys the lows, as seen in the pic.

Alright guys so today i sold my 12" bl and am awaiting my sa-10's. So for now a buddy let me use his little 12" hifonics sub to hold me over until mine arrive. But i honestly dont know what i should do with the subsonic filter now since iv always ran ported lboxes. I have an aq2200 and the ssf goes from 10hz-50hz, so what should i put it at or does it not matter where its at?

As some of you already know, i've decided to add a 3rd xcon to the 2 i already have for a setup in my civic. I've pretty much got everything i need. Just need some more wiring and misc interconnects. Amp, too. Anyway, while talking to my box builder and the guy that helps me out with installs, he told me instead of running sealed with the xcons, i should run them in an IB config. His reasoning being 1. Sealed requires more power to hit the same SPL while IB requires much less. less power to use = happy electrical. 2. I have a whine sound i my front speakers, sorta like an alternator whine . It get a little louder with motor rpms. But here is the odd thing, it only does it when car is really hot and when i take it out of garage and its hot. If its night time or cool outside and car has been seting outside no noise. Any ideas on what it could be? oh and its only two of the four channels on the amp making noise.

So far all the subwoofers I have had were, two 10" Memphis Power References (250 rms each), two 10" Pioneer Premiers (400 rms each), single 12" Cadence TX12 (450 rms i think), and now I have a single 12" RD Alpha V.2 (1500 rms). The 12" hit lows a lot better than the 10's, but the dual 10's seem to give off a more bass and everyone that heard my subs say that with my memphis' they could hear me way down the road where all my other woofers you couldn't. I don't know if that necessarily means that the memphis were the loudest, but anyways I just wanted to get some opinions on subs.
