So i have started my modified SQ build with a solid front stage going active with an alpine 9887 and mach5 mlis and seas neos all deadened with second skin and now i need a sub stage but i have no idea what to use. I want maybe 2 10s or 1 15 because i would like it to get decently loud but be tight . I listen to rock and rap. I also need another amp somewhere in the 600 watts rms range but im not sure what is good for relatively cheap. My total price range will probably be around 400 i don't really want to go any higher and i don't mind good used equipment. (offers also welcome) space will not be that big of a deal but where i want to build the box is under the rear …

One 15" AA SMD of a Stetsom 7k2e. 4^3 tuned ~31 hz w/ 29 sq in of port in a '09 Yaris Sedan. DC Power 320amp alt, big three, all 1/0 wiring, stock battery. I just metered tonightat a local shop and put up a 144.4 w/ peak at ~ 41 hz. My question is "How much would I benefit from more port area? I plan on going from 29 in to 72.5 in thanks

just finished putting a memphis pr10 in a 1ft^3 box, tuned to about 37-38 hz ( i lenghtened the port 3/4" ofer the recommended, which would have been 40hz), being pushed by a memphis pr140...yep, a whooping 70 wrms!! anyway...ummmm..WOW! while not a spl monster, it is loud! i am definitely going to have to find a 200-250 wrms amp and see what happens! some pics soon...i didn't take pics of the build, but i will take some of the semi finished box ( i will carpet it gray in a week or so).. it's also very musical.i am indeed impressed. maybe it was thinking how loud it wouldn't be,it is just 70 wrms and check my sig to see what i'm used too, that i set myself up for failure.…

ok i am building a whole new setup for my truck spending some money for new alt and battery's now i dont know weather to do 4 12's or 2 18 in the back of my blazer. what would everyone recommend doing if they had the choice. between the 4 12's or 2 18's im not going for pur SPL but i would like my truck to be loud with the bass but also able to hear the music. anything and any opions are welcome

I have some questions, hope I can get help. Where can I buy 2/0 AWG wire? Whats a good brand? model? Does 2/0 gauge really make a difference over Zero (1/0) gauge? Is anything thicker (3/0, 4/0) than 2/0 overkill and waste of space? Thanks

What all are you guys using? I'm looking for a decent alarm. Nothing too expensive. Vehicle doesn't have power doors/windows, so don't need something too special. I really, really don't like dealing with alarms. I detest alarms. Glass breaking sensors are good ... and I don't mind if it chirps if someone bumps into it.

i hope i dont sound like an idiot but i have 2 15" 150 watt 16 ohm subs, theyre like dj speakers, i want to use them in my car, what amp is right for these and how would i wire it? im terrible when it comes to figuring out ohms and ive never heard of 16 ohm subs till my friend gave me these

well to start off, i have two 12's bumpin off a 2 chan. 350w visonik amp @ 4ohms i know it isnt much, but in order to get the 800w mtx i am lookin at i need something that wont clip out at medium power... please help me out here i need something to bump with til i can get a car (only 2 years!!)

EDIT for the thing that is to small is called ring terminal i need a bigger one So i finally got the mofo through the firewall, damn was that a pain in the ol geezer Now my fuse cable the end with the metal attachment for a bolt wont fit because the hole is to small. My friend told me about this audio company that just came out. Apparently they are really goodbut i have never heard of them nor found some demos on the internet. I also cant find their site for their stuff or prices. Have any of you guys heard of them? I wouldnt mind trying their equipment out lol. Hooked up the big 3 and first time start up the car was running really rough rocking like crazy, something is wrong. Started it again this time it ran fun but The speedometer stopped work!? wtf did i Do Charges @ 14.2 so the alt is working Neg -> Frame Neg -> engine block Pos -> Alt

well the positive on the box terminal melted and warped. this is the second time it has melted but the first time it didn't get ruined completely. but this time it did. the wiring from inside side of terminal to sub is 12g and the wire on the outside side to amp is 16g for 2000 watts rms i know it should be 8g. i know. but havent had the money to buy any yet. both times this has happened it has been the same case: the sub wouldnt hit until almost at 2/3 volume. or if i messed around with the terminal peices. (tightened and loosened them) in the first case i came to the conclusion that the two gold prongs that you see in the pictures on the inside side of the terminal…

I just installed 8 brand new cadence comp. speakers, took out the factory speakers. I wanna blow them up, can someone tell me how. I heard that hooking them in 120 volts (regular outlet) will do the trick. Is there an easier way, or another better way?
